The hotel is very clean and updated. It is in a really great location and made walking to everything very convenient. Special shout out to Tashiana for checking us in early. We came by to drop our luggage off, knowing it was well before check-in time. Tashiana checked us into our room without even being asked. That is great customer service! The fitness room is also well-stocked with waters and had plenty of top-of-the-line equipment. Thank you!
Unless you are guaranteed a room that is NOT on the side facing the highway, DO NOT STAY HERE. My Marriott profile always states quiet room. I requested a quiet room, possibly on a higher floor. I was assured in a couple emails - including the day of the stay - that I was in a quiet room. My flight had been delayed 4 hours and my daughter and granddaughter arrived before me. When I got to the room, I thought the window was open - it was unbelievably loud. I slept every night with my noise cancelling headphones on which was not exactly comfortable. Unless the person who assured me I was in a quiet room had just started that day and was unaware, it's just a straight out lie. When on vacation, especially, a good night's sleep to begin the next day's activities is crucial.
Positives of this hotel include cleanliness and location. Friendly staff as well. However, my room was on the side of the hotel with a major roadway outside my window. The traffic noise was so loud at all hours that it was disruptive to everything including sleep, phone conversations, hearing the television. Truck noise, honking, morning rush traffic. View from my window below. Writing this at 10:30 pm and the noise is still horrific.
This hotel is located in the trendy South side of Boston in the “Ink Block” area. There are many excellent eating options within the block, and it is a walkable distance to all of the sites (albeit on uneven roads). The hotel is clean and has all the amenities one needs. The gym has three treadmills and elliptical machines, a recumbent bike and regular exercise bike, and lots of free weights (including heavy ones). The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!
Very impressed and wish we stayed longer! The room was so quiet we never heard other guests. Very clean. I was in love with the shower. Location was convenient. Saved some money by eating at the Whole Foods hot bar. We stayed on the back side, not the highway side.
My wife and I visited Boston this past week and found this hotel on the Marriott website. We felt both valued and appreciated by all the staff who were friendly made us feel welcomed as guests. Our room was comfortable, spacious and we were pleased with our hotel selection. The area is safe, convenient to both shopping (Wegman's is a 1 minute walk) and several restaurants for both breakfast and dinner. Public transportation is close, 2 and 1/2 blocks for buses (<5 minute walk) and < 3 blocks + 1 bridge (<10 minute walk) for a subway. The gym is well kept and we had no issues or problems during our 5 day stay.
Rooms and amenities were fantastic but most of all the staff was extremely attentive. I’ve been traveling in and out of Boston a lot the past few months and I always choose this hotel because of the staff. They know me by first name which really means they value customer service.
The room was clean and the location is central to downtown. It was NOT advertised that there is no housekeeping services for guests staying less than three days. Be warned that if you like housekeeping they will not come, even if you request it unless to bring new towels. Additionally, I asked the front desk for some extra laundry bags in the AM and they never brought them so I had to call after a long day at work to request them. When I told the front desk at check out they couldn't care less- so I really don't recommend this property even through the site itself is both clean and new the staff and service are not great. Also, don't stay here if you are a light sleeper, its right next to a highway and the front desk will not assign you to a different room even if you ask. Note: They do provide a sound machine in the room to drown out highway noise.…
I come to Boston quite a bit - for work and to visit family. The AC Hotel never disappoints. The location is great. Next to Whole Foods for an easy bite and located in the South End near all the restaurants, you can't beat it. When you need to leave, the airport is a quick 10 minute drive away (traffic dependent). The hotel itself is new and clean. The staff is friendly. I really enjoy the breakfast - very glad it's back after the COVID hiatus. The rooms are great - sofa and TV with work station, reading lights by each bedside, and a very nice walk-in shower with rain head shower. And no carpet. Love that.
This was my second time staying at this hotel, the first was last year for our anniversary and I was pleasantly surprised of the service and cleanliness of the hotel in general. On this last visit Rachel at the Front Desk checked me in and was able to help me surprise my husband for his birthday. Thank you so much and we look forward to staying there again.
