Great hotel. We got two rooms here through a good deal on Hotwire. The hotel is centrally located and there are many things to see and do within easy walking distance. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Boston Common, The Public Gardens, Chinatown, and Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall area. We arrived very early -- around noon....

We stayed for two nights at the end of our trip around New England, arriving on Friday evening. The location in the financial district is within easy walking distance of most of central Boston's attractions, although it was very quiet over the weekend, with lots of places around the hotel closed. We were welcomed, efficiently booked in, the room was...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Langham during our son's graduation. Its not cheap but you can get good last minute deals sometimes and we got one. The rooms are very elegant and well furnished. One of the better hotels I have stayed in at Boston, for sure, with an old world charm that makes it homely. The Bar...

We recently stayed for 7 days at the Langham. The staff were friendly and efficient and we really enjoyed the food at Bond bar/restaurant. We found the prices to be fair value for what you received and the ambience was great. We could walk to Faneuil hall , the waterfront and the Italian district in North Boston. I travelled up...

Just one night at the Langham, and although not cheap, the effortless welcome and elegant rooms made the stay a special one. Keith, the doorman on my arrival, made me welcome, and provided recommendations for dining, and added to the Bostonian experience.

We stayed here for our first few days in Boston. Really friendly and attentive staff made us feel very welcome. Comfortable room very clean and well appointed. Very close to all sites and easy to walk to Harbour Quincy Market and historical sites. Breakfast buffet is good. We also tried the afternoon tea which was excellent.

This did seem like a calm oasis having spent the rest of my business trip in NYC, but it is a large modern, beautifully appointed hotel. The staff were polite, the rooms large, comfortable and clean. The location is superb, right on the square and a 15 minute walk from the historic parts of town. Some of the quirky traditions...

We stayed at the Langham in boston for 5 nights in May, the staff were very helpful, the concierge service was excellent and when ever we needed a taxi the doorman was brilliant and we didn't have to wait more than a few seconds for a taxi. The Bond bar was bustling with local business people so not quite our...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
