The Langham delivers excellent service, centrally located downtown,retaurants/bars. Might not be on the value side for some travelers but the hotel delivers on all fronts. The Bond was a treat was late night drinks.

Stayed at The Langham last month when in Boston for work. The hotel was wonderful, I had no complaints. I had a nice spacious room with a king size bed, massive bathroom, views of the park. The staff was incredibly friendly, location is very central. Room service is overpriced and so/so, but everything else was wonderful.

We just wrapped up a weekend stay at The Langham, and while satisfied, would probably stay somewhere else next time given the great options in Boston. First the good - great central location made everywhere we wanted to go walkable, the room while not huge, had an exceptionally comfortable king bed, and validated parking was only $12/day. The bad -...

Nice hotel with comfortable beds and an indoor pool and spa. Within walking distance to lots of sights in downtown Boston. We only stayed one night, but would happily stayed longer if time had allowed.

We stayed here with friends for two nights. The service is exceptional. Front desk staff and concierge staff are great. We also had the buffet breakfast included in our stay. Fine dining for sure. A good selection of food. We had a some cocktails one night before we went out at the lobby bar. Richard was a great waiter, he...

We checked in at 2:30 and our room wasn't ready. No problem, as we were a bit earlier than planned. The receptionist said come back in 30 minutes. We left our 3 bags with them, took a baggage receipt and went out for a walk. We came back 90 mins later at 4pm. Still the room wasn't ready. So they...

Excellent service; old style rooms; good location; the bar is an active scene but the restaurant was closed; ended up ordering room service. Not a particularly memorable property despite the reputation of the name.

I stayed for three nights in September on business and loved this hotel! First of all, everyone who works in the lobby is a super model with indistinguishable accents. Don't arrive off the plane in travel clothes--you'll feel like a loser at reception. The staff is incredibly attentive. I arrived, dropped off my stuff, got ready in a hurricane of...

One night at this property. As indicated above, very elegant, especially the main lobby. Guests are treated like special people. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. The wifi is good, unlike so many large hotels. We dined out but had late-night wine and cheese platter. Wine was good but the selection is surprisingly limited for room service. Cheese plate...

If you're looking for a "non-commercialized" hotel in the heart of the financial district, this is your kind of place. The old fashioned English-style hot pink cab in front is the first thing that stands out. Check in was nice and quick. This appears to be one of the main hotels where airlines put up their flight crews, as I...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
