Nestled in Boston's financial district, The Langham is acclaimed for its luxurious and welcoming ambiance, complete with elegant decor and cozy touches. While some guests have called out the rooms for being on the smaller side and occasionally noisy, the cleanliness and comfort are consistently praised.
Its prime location offers walkability to top attractions, adding to its appeal. The amenities and friendly, professional service are often highlighted, though views on value vary, with a few travelers feeling the price point doesn't always match the experience.

Dear DJ_Mirth, It truly warms our hearts to read such glowing feedback about your experience at our hotel. We are thrilled to know that our location served as a convenient base for your explorations in the city and that various aspects of our services added value to your stay. Your kind words about our attentive service, comfortable rooms, culinary delights, and our craft cocktails at the bar reaffirm our commitment to deliver world-class hospitality. It's always a pleasure to know that the little details, like the espresso machine in the room, didn't go unnoticed and added a touch of luxury to your visit. We aim to create memorable moments for our guests, and it's reviews like yours that motivate us to elevate our standards continually. We genuinely hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon for another exquisite experience. Warmest regards, Michele Grosso Managing Director The Langham, Boston

We stayed here 3 nights before a Harry Styles concert with our teenage daughter (double queen room). Staff, as at all the Langham's I've been to, will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is impeccable and you are completely comfortable. Design is modern traditional and though the building is old, it has been remodeled to a very high taste standard. Room (particularly the bathroom) was a tad small (typical for Boston) and that's the reason I'm giving 4 stars (because the price, was certainly elevated and I would have expected a larger room). We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant which is just a lovely, high ceilinged, gorgeous room, though you could hear a pin drop and it was a tad stiff for first thing in the morning. We were able to see lots of downtown Boston sights on foot and the in/out valet parking was a breeze (quick, efficient and helpful.)

The Langham is now one of our favorite hotels. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the whole atmosphere is classy without a snooty vibe that some upscale hotels thrive upon. A very elegant hotel overall.
We appreciated the daily attention to the room without having to ask, as well as the nightly turndown service. The bedding was very comfortable and I slept better there than in my own bed.
The fitness center seemed to be in a temporary location, but it had 2 Peloton bikes (with cages and SPD cleats), treadmills and ellipticals. There were also free weights and a general universal weight machine that could be used for various movements. Plenty of towels and water in the fitness center.
The location is central and an easy walk to the State St Transit station, Quincy Market, and the North End.
The only disappointment was the car service (BostonCoach) that was arranged by the hotel to take us to the airport. No fault of the hotel - the driver was 20 minutes late and the service was horrendously expensive. I wanted to puke upon receiving the invoice. One is better off taking an Uber.

Was there attending a company event last part of July. The rooms are very nice as was the hotel. The room was clean & upscale but on the small side and didn't have but one drawer to put our clothes in. The other drawer located in the closet was occupied with the room safe. The light switches were a bit confusing and hard to figure out as the bathtub and shower knobs. Also, no view from our room other than to the dirty alley and adjacent very tall building. The location of the hotel is very good and practical for us since we did a lot of walking to all the tourist sites. No need for a taxi or Uber. I don't think this is a 5 Star Hotel and don't know who gave it that rating. I also felt the daily rate of $700 per night was too high. The food at the Grana was delicious but again one omelet with coffee and bacon at $60 is way too much to pay, despite the excellent service. I think there are much better hotels in the area that will get you a better room and service for the same price.

The Langham is a beautifully restored property with a strong hard product. While always important, especially so during the pandemic, it was refreshing that both guests and employees were practicing safety and cleanliness precautions. The rooms are spotless and well-appointed. In my particular room, I found the bathroom and closet to be much smaller than standard which had minimal impact given my short stay.
The average rating came down to qualities and preferences that should be easily accommodated yet it was a challenge. For good sleep quality, I prefer bedding/pillows with good neck support and unfortunately, after trying three different types, none provided support to prevent that sinking feeling when sleeping. The second issue was the climate in the room, it took multiple attempts to get to a comfortable cool temperature and even then, the humidity level was still very high (imagine damp clothes, linens, and towels).
Overall, very happy The Langham has reopened to welcome guests but this particular stay was moderately disappointing given the strength of the brand and hard product.

The Langham Boston was a true 5-star hotel experience. It was also a great deal using Amex Platinum ($125 extra credit, and $84 to spend on breakfast/brunch per day).
My fiancée and I were impressed by the service across the board. We sometimes left for short periods of time to come back to a cleaned up room, and the hotel also provided a free large raspberry macaron and large glass bottle of water for our anniversary.
You can sometimes hear some noise bleed in through the hallway, but that's more on guests vs. the hotel.

We stayed for the weekend, 5/20 - 5/22, in their most basic room with queen bed. We had a lovely view of a beautiful park. The hotel was exceptionally quiet. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The location was a good one for getting to restaurants and stores, though we did not visit the city for shopping. The staff was friendly. We asked them to hold our luggage after check out so that we could meet up with our daughter for a late brunch, also pick up our vehicle late. They were happy to accomodate. Our only complaint would be that some of the controls and switches in the room had rather tiny labels on them, and we had to look carefully to figure out the lights and "do not disturb" signal. The shower controls were also puzzling but were eventually discovered. Written directions might be helpful.

I stayed at the Langham for three nights recently for a wedding. Although the cost was somewhat higher than other hotels I've stayed in during the pandemic years, it was worth every penny - and then some. The rooms were in tip-top condition, tastefully appointed and quiet. The restaurants (the Fed and Grana) were excellent. The location was convenient to everything that I was doing that weekend. But, most important, the staff was professional, courteous and proactively helpful. And that included everyone from the desk clerks to the restaurant staff to the chambermaids. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Langham Boston for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff was amazing from the start and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. My husband and I agreed that this is by far the best customer service we have experienced at any hotel group and we are frequent travelers. The accommodations were also top notch. The beds were super comfy (I could’ve slept all day!) and housekeeping ensured we had clean towels and linens upon our return after a long day sightseeing. A nice touch which I also have to mention is that they provide filtered water (in cute pink cartons) upon request at no charge. From the concierge services (Maeve Thomas) who ensured dining reservations for us throughout our stay, to front desk staff (Darby and others) who welcomed us with true sincerity and positivity, and the lounge hosts (Jenn and Grace) who kept our tummies full and satisfied with delicious meals…this stay was definitely a highlight for our trip. I have to also acknowledge the bellmen, in room dining, and housekeeping personnel as they were all so kind and friendly as well. The only negative was when we had to leave. The level of service the Langham provides to their guests are unbeatable. You will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to return.
