Stayed at the Lennox through SkyAuction. It was a terrific choice. Pluses - super, central location in Copley Square area (next door to Lord & Taylors, block to Prudential Center and a block to Newbury St, a block to Copley Square Plaza, great restaurants right across the street, near the subway, etc.). Fast check-in once the room was ready at...

Having just dosed the nearby Eliot Hotel with words of disappointment and recommended the Lenox instead, it's great to write in praise of the better hotel. You've got to love a good hotel that keeps an oversized 1950s neon sign announcing itself on its roof. Shows some humor and a bon vivant spirit. Like the Eliot Hotel, the Lenox is...

We were given a free upgrade to a wonderful corner room on the top floor. Nice decor, very comfy bed. Nice and quiet. You know you're in for a treat when you enter the lobby. Professional, but friendly service.

This place is beautiful. It's old and the rooms are small so don't expect acres of space. The furnishings are in keeping with the old world charm. There are some lovely touches like Aveda products in the bathroom, free wifi and complimentary bottled water which make the stay more pleasant and the price worthwhile. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable...

Just returned from another excellent stay at the Lenox. I've had the pleasure of staying here several times over the last year while I'm in in Boston on business. I travel frequently for work, and always look forward to my nights at the Lenox. I've enjoyed it so much that I've returned with my family during Red Sox weekends. The...

We enjoyed this hotel. It is beautifully decorated and elegant, and in a great location close to restaurants, shopping, Fenway Park, and Berklee College of Music. It is a bit pricey, though, but that is to be expected in a city location.

Got ripped for long-distance phone calls: $9 each for less than one minute. Could hear urination sounds through the night. Drinks in restaurant were quite expensive. The staff were very nice. The hotel was rather old but well maintained. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

This was my 3rd visit to the Lenox and each time, it's like greeting old friends. Guests are treated like royalty! The staff are some of the best I have ever encountered, so accommodating & personable. The rooms are lovely and so so comfortable, not to mention the astoundingly good amenities. Undoubtedly one of my favourite hotels in the world.

My family of 4 have very much enjoyed our stay at the Lenox. They're not only at a great location where we could walk to all the nice shopping places e.g. Newbury street and Copley Place, their service level are also excellent -from the doormen, bell, receptions, everyone. We felt very welcomed. There are a number of nice restaurants nearby...

Simply brilliant. This hotel was the second hotel we stayed at as part of a 3 week vacation from London. Check in was fantastic because our 2 kids were given a large cuddly lobster. A great touch. The rooms are well proportioned, quiet and with all mod cons plus a walk in wardrobe. My wife got very excited inn discovering...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
