A friendly, boutique-style hotel in a great location. The staff were very helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, and the restaurant has a great vibe and delicious food. Very easy to get to everything fun to do in Boston.

We last stayed here in 2017 - we returned in Nov 23 for our 8th time at this hotel. The service is excellent & the lobby & restaurant were the same high standard. The rest of the hotel is very shabby (not shabby chic). The carpets look filthy and the rooms are in desperate need of updating. The plastic leather look headboard was peeling. Considering the room had 2 beds and in theory can sleep 4 adults there is almost zero storage. Small handing rail, 1 shelf & one small bedside cabinet that had one drawer. It is very clean albeit so outdated. When we left we had six suitcases that we had to get downstairs ourselves - we ripped the doorman well to put them in our taxi all they did was leave them at the boot leaving the taxi driver asking us if we’d left a good tip which we had done.

My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Lenox during Thanksgiving week. The hotel was festive with Christmas decorations, the entire staff was superb, and the junior suite to which we were upgraded was a special treat. When the opportunity presents itself, we'll be back.

The staff make this hotel. Just wonderful people. All of them. Extremely helpful with everything. The room was also perfect for the three of us. The location is also right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. We would definitely come back!

Great location opposite the public library. Felt safe walking around the area. Good size room but it was slightly noisy from outside we think it was an air conditioning unit/heater unit. Ear plugs solved that! Staff friendly. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on food.

Worst experience ever. They put me in the most unsafe situation possible for no real reason. I went to the restroom and came back to worst experience ever. The lenox is the worst possible place that you can stay. Service is awful. I dont care what anyone says it was my first time there and of all the sh*tty places in boston this Lenox hotel was the worst. I will be calling the GM to complain.

Tons of potential but with some issues! The pros- location is great! Walking distance to many restaurants and historical sites. Sola’s Irish Pub (located in the hotel) is great. The lobby is beautiful and smells SO good! The hallways are very wide and rooms are huge! Service was outstanding. The cons- very obvious water damage on walls in room and bathroom. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, sheet rock crumbling in bathroom, headboard has a big tear! You would think at almost 500 a night (weekday rates) they would put effort into maintaining this place. It’s a neat historical hotel. It needs some TLC. The location is good, but so is the location of the tons of hotels surrounding it. I would not choose this place again as the money we paid did not represent the quality of the hotel.

The Lenox Hotel is a nice hotel and is well located to get around Boston. The Lobby is beautiful and had worthwhile food and bar offerings. We were greeted with smiles and the check-in was smooth. Unfortunately our request for a high floor King room could not be accommodated at check in (although oddly the couple that checked in immededatly after us got a high floor king) for at least another hour so we took a room on the third floor. The sound of running water every 45 seconds had us request a new room. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to the tenth floor. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The bathroom, while very small had a good shower. Used room service quite a bit and the food was fresh, hot and delivered timely. The Staff was very friendly. Overall, a good experience.

We love this boutique hotel. It was beautiful, staff was great and helpful the restaurants have wonderful food one of the best clam chowder’s. I had in Boston When we arrived the person that checked us in upgraded us to a king suite just because they had one open with no additional charge. It is located in the Back Bay area, which is a great location to see a lot of the Boston sites within walking distance. The only thing that I would say might to be improved is the fact they don’t have coffee in the room and you have to go downstairs to get it but other than that I would highly recommend it if we go back to Boston, we will book our stay there. The photos below are a part of the lobby, and the view from our hotel room window.

From the minute you’re welcomed by the concierge you feel pampered in this hotel. The atmosphere is relaxing and warm. The room we had was a corner room with a fireplace and was truly beautiful, comfortable and spacious. We stayed three nights.
