Great hotel in a great location! Close to restaurants, shops and the subway station. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much hassle. We stayed at christmas time and they had a beautiful christmas tree in the lobby along with a fire place. They also made fresh cookies which were hands down the best cookies I have ever...

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. There were five of us in two connecting rooms. The rooms were spacious with everything we needed. Loved the water dispenser to fill a carafe in the hallway. Lots of towels. Beds were just okay. AC was strong which we like. Front desk was very friendly with greeting both coming and going. Same with...

I can't say enough about the Lenox! Warm and friendly staff, exquisite bedding and linen, delicious breakfast, best possible location to walk all over the touristic and retail areas. For years I have stayed at the lenox whenever I could and I've never been disappointed, always enchanted!

Great hotel in a great location. Traveled as a family with two teenagers so bedding is always an issue. I booked a room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. The room was huge and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful always. The bathroom was the only thing that could have been better. It needed updating...

My husband is amazing. He loves to surprise me and that he did. He booked the Judy Garland Suite for us. Apparently Miss Garland had lived at the hotel for a month or two back in the day and although the room was renovated, it had been Judy's room, so was evoking such memories of her and just great fun!...

Best historic hotel i have ever stayed in. Worth every penny. Pay the extra money for a corner room with a view with a fireplace. Coolest thing is to call to ask for the fire to be lit...cozy in bed with your hotel robe on....loved it!

The rooms in this hotel are too small to even write a review about them. My wife and I stayed here during our Boston visit. The location is great and the staff was attentive. However, the room given to us was the size of a tiny tiny prison cell (or even smaller) for which they charged a lot of money....

You must stay here. The room, staff, and location are simply the best that Boston has to offer. Stephanie at the front desk gave us an upgrade to the suite with the fireplace because we were on our mini honeymoon. The bellhops were so helpful with directions and recommendations on where to go and things to do. You can walk...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
