We attended a wedding at the hotel. The wedding was in the ball room. Absolutely beautiful. I gave 4 stars because our room was a bit tired. On a plus side, you can’t beat the central location near restaurants and transportation
We (my husband and I) arrived on the 2nd January at approx 9:30pm and were staying one night, on our way home to Ireland. We had travelled from the West Coast and were exhausted. We were met at reception by a wonderful ambassador for the hotel called Alexandria. She was so friendly and welcoming it felt like we were coming home. Our room was stunning, and spacious. We ate in the hotel bar that evening and the food was delicious. The bar itself, is absolutely stunning. It was "old worldy" and the decor was beautiful. The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel bar again and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the weather did not play ball on the 3rd and it rained all day. We went over to the Copley mall and the Prudential Center which has amazing shops and it right by the hotel. When it came time to leave, we were sad to leave the hotel. It is a very special place, with a wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff. I have recommended it to anyone who has listened, and I will definitely stay there again. Thank you to all in the Fairmont Copley Plaza!…
We have stayed at this Fairmont over the years many times. This is our first visit in a few years and what a gigantic disappointment! The hotel is in desperate need of renovation! It is clear that they are hanging on by a shoestring! Not even coffee service set up in the morning! It cost me $9 for two takeaway coffees from their restaurant. Very few in staff. I always looked forward to staying here, but NEVER again!! So many choices in Boston. There is no reason to stay here!
Great location, super pet friendly, and great staff. It is an old hotel however so just something to keep in mind nothing super modern but they are able to keep the environment super fancy. Enjoyed our stay there
Our daughter recently had her wedding reception at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. The day was a fairy tale wedding in every way imaginable! This is only possible when you have the best of the best by your side and top-notch resources available. That is when we met Alice Fay, Wedding Event Coordinator. It was love at first sight! She was so friendly, kind and genuinely happy for all of us. It seemed too easy....too perfect... Well, I have to say to anyone reading this if you are looking for a smooth sailing wedding process please look no further! Alice Fay was made for this! She is the REAL deal. Never have I met anyone who wants to please a client more. Alice has quite the schedule....She has more than one wedding at times every week but yet made us feel like our wedding was the only one happening. Her level of care and concern is truly remarkable. I couldn't believe that emails and phone calls were returned within an hour or less and it was like that for the entire ten month planning process. When we would meet in person, she made it fun and personal and truly made us feel like family. After explaining the vision we had for this wedding, she suggested a list of vendors and resources that were the best of the best in the business. They had one goal....to please in every way possible. I have learned over the years, that despite people being good at what they do, sometimes they do not have an approachable way about them. The wonderful people we worked with did not disappoint. They were always available to brainstorm and meet in the space to get everything perfect. They succeeded. During the wedding Alice was AMAZING! She was on top of everything (yet in the background) and was so kind to our family and made sure all was going well. She truly doesn't miss a beat! Even the night before and morning of the wedding she was checking in with us making sure we had everything we needed. All the personal touches and loving texts as the wedding approached were over the top! That is why I had to write this review. She deserves this and a lot more. My daughter not only got the wedding of her dreams....we got ALICE as well.... A friend for life…
Most beautiful architecture of any Boston Hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms . Excellent weekend brunch. Very friendly and efficient hotel staff from the doormen to the room cleaners- all were courteous and professional. Will stay there every time we come to Boston!
I've stayed at The Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston hotel a few times now and it is my default hotel in Boston. I like the location very much and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's also a very good looking hotel. Rooms are starting to look a little tired though. The hotel could use more staff in the lobby area. When trying to make an enquiry or check in/check out, it took a long time to get served. I often had to reinitialise my room, key card as it often did not work. I like the gold lounge for breakfast and the evenings. It's a shame that we have to pay for any alcohol though. I understand this may be a law in the state, but the prices are too high.
What a great time we had! Sophia (thanks for the magnificent upgrade) and ALL the staff really looked after us showing professionalism, knowledge, dedication, friendliness and big smiles. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can’t wait to return very soon.
We celebrated a special anniversary for a dear friend this past week. The atmosphere, food and service at the Copley Plaza exceeded our expectations! Lauren coordinated the event and was professional and attentive. Our waitstaff and bartenders Angela, Ronnie, Julio and Gilbert made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!
We love the Fairmont Copley Plaza for its great beauty, history and wonderful staff. We were grateful to tuck in there for an overnight after a couple of long flights. And appreciated the beautiful Christmas tree!
