As a frequent traveler, I've become very picky about hotel visits. This hotel is top of the line. Suite was the best set-up I've seen. One example: most suites have a convertible sofa for sleeping- they are always very uncomfortable for sitting or sleeping. Here, they have a Murphy bed in the living room, so the sofa was actually very comfortable for lounging, reading & TV viewing. At checkout, the only criticism I had was, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, but I was told there is a fan underneath the sink, so it was invisible. So, no complaint at all. Staff was always helpful. Special thanks to Bobby, who quickly resolved a minor billing issue. I look forward to returning again and give this hotel an A+ rating.

Usually travel for business but this was for pleasure. The staff accommodated is beyond any reasonable expectation. Even when we didn't request room service, a basket of towels and toiletries were left by our door. The view over the Charles River from our room was gorgeous.

This is a great property, both location wise and services.

The rooms are suites, which gives you enough space to relax and work. The hotel has a laundry service, so you don’t spend too much on that and stay for longer durations also.

The hotel has two restaurants and a pantry for food goodies. The apple crumble is a must try at the restaurant here.

We have been a hilton honours member for quite a while and this hotel came up on our radar after originally booking a hotel within the financial district. I was at first a little put off by the location being a bit out of town but to be fair i didnt realise how compact Boston is and so making use of the provided shuttle and easy to get Lyft or Uber ($12 into town) this hotel is excellent value for money. We had a corner suite which was a great size with the kitchenette and had excellent views of the (what was frozen) Charles river. There was one incident where a bag of gifts we bought went missing but we deduced this was a cleaner who mistakingly thought it was a bag of rubbish, after speaking to reception and house keeping they couldnt find it so we ammicably reached a conclusion. My tip here would be to put any shopping safely tucked away to avoid confusion. There is a dunkin over the bridge if you feel frivolous or a Trader Joes just a bit further down the river if you want to stock up on a few bits. Cambridge and Harvard SQ are a nice easy walk and give Salem a go, its half an hour on the train from North station and only 8 dollars each. Would definately recommend this hotel and dont be put off by the location.

Hilton hotels make you sign up for the program before you can access the free WiFi. Even in remote Australia you can access free WiFi. Dreadful that this is required in a large US city.
Hotel in a good location, easy access to downtown and Ts.

I picked this hotel because it has an amazing location that is walkable to many things that I wanted to be around during my visit to Boston. However, it wasn't without its negatives that could have been avoided to make the trip more enjoyable.

The Good: Location, restaurant on site, and clean rooms

The Bad: Any room that ends in #26 please avoid if you are traveling with more than one person, the rooms are just a bit too small.

The noise from the traffic is just horrible and pierces the windows.

Adjoining rooms? Avoid them, the sound from the other room just shoots through the wall, there is no muffling of the sound.

The Neutral: Staff could be more helpful and engaging at the front desk areas. And the men that staff the concierge desk do not seem to have a clue and personality wise are a bit off putting...recommend avoiding any interaction.

Overall I would likely come here again due to its location and overall cleanliness. I think I would try to mitigate some of the bad in the future by getting a room on a higher floor and a larger room in general.

when I called this hotel about an overcharge of my parking and upgrade fee, a woman who answered my phone asked me to call Expedia to get a refund(actually I booked from Hotels.com). I explained to her several times than it was Not a refund for my room reservation and it was a charge directly from the hotel, which was on the hotel's bill. She either didn't listen to me or totally incompetent to understand what I talked about. While she told me she would check with her manager and put me on hold, she transferred the phone call to Expedia!!! Even not Expedia service hotline. It was Expedia web technology surport line!! She was so competent in cheating and being irresponsible!

I called again. another woman answered the phone. But she told me she would check her manager and other staff and put me on hold for 20 minutes and finally, a man answered the phone and removed the overcharge.

I traveled to Boston to move my daughter into a Resident Tutor room at Harvard and after a day of moving items into her room, when I arrived at the Doubletree, I was looking forward to a relaxing evening. But at check-in there was an issue with the reservation that I booked through Expedia.

Apparently Expedia failed to send my reservation to Doubletree. In what was a long and frustrating process with a lot of time chatting with Expedia customer service, my reservation was finally completed and I was off to my room, which I must complement Doubletree was clean and comfortable, and had the sealed door indicating that the room had been sanitized. This clearly made me feel more comfortable staying in the hotel.

Why I am sharing this experience is the poise, professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness of the Front Desk Manager, Ariana. In what should have been an easy and seamless process, Ariana navigated the situation, got things resolved and got me in my room while being the only staff on duty and while facing a growing line of agitated customers behind me.

She also the consideration to follow up with a courtesy check-in call with me to make sure everything in my room was okay.

I hadn't traveled during the Covid19 pandemic and as a result my expectations are lower, but I feel that I don't often see people being diligent and displaying this type of patience and poise, and so I wanted to recognize and thank Ariana for her efforts.

The AC in all rooms has loud and noisy voice, stuff in the reception is extremely aggressive and impolite.

The shift manager (black lady) need to be fired, as she has nothing to do with customer service or how to deal with guests of Boston whom are elite type of guests. Either coming for business or studying at Harvard.

I gave them 100 dollars as guarantee for my stay, while checking out she wanted to give me a 100 dollars that is cut on one of the edges and when I refused to take it she punished me and gave me my money back in notes of fives!!!

To the leadership of this hotel, you need to watch your from liners or at least give them customer experience training !!

I am Hilton honor member and have visited Hilton in more than 25 countries and this my the worst experience ever!!!!

Convenient location, helpful and knowledgeable people at the front desk, and very clean room and removable labels saying something has been cleaned and sanitized. Good experience. Again just wish they had food service available but which was understandable with safety reasons

The quick and easy way by car is to get on Storrow Drive (east) right next to the hotel and take it to the Kenmore Sq/Fenway exit. Traffic can be heavy on game day, so it's best to drive there early.
