The room was miserable. It felt like a storage room with dusty pipes running around the stained walls. The ceiling was chipping. Apart from the immediate use surfaces, everything else was cover with dust, lint, and grime accumulated for years (the floor corners, the pipes, the window screens, etc). It was very poorly equipped which made the stay in this tiny room for 2 people even more difficult. The heat was supposed to come from the AC but most of the time only cool air was coming out. The AC unit was clogged with dust and lint, obviously never cleaned, and without proper maintenance. We stayed mid-January but there was no comforter provided and when we asked for one, they brought us a twin-size one for 2 people! We expressed our disappointment on our checkout and got a $50 refund but overall, the room was of the quality of a cheap dirty motel one at the price of a proper hotel. …
Great relation quality/price...another concept of a mixed between hotel and a hostel. Personal educated and helpful. Very clean. We had a 4 bedroom (the space was not big but the size and quality of the beds very good) with shared bathroom, which at the beginning we though it will be uncomfortable but it was actually good, we didn't have to wait for anyone to use the bathroom or shower. These were always clean, plenty of towels to use. On the basement there was lots of space to have breakfast or something to eat as well as to work. They allow you to keep your food on the fridge and let you plates and glasses to eat. The surroundings were nice, close to downtown, plenty of places to eat. Great experience all over!
Lobby is really cool and funky. Rooms are too small. Staff is rude and not well trained. Walls are paper thin. No outside alcohol policy - what even is that? Overall this is the worst hotel I've stayed in in Boston - there are much better options out there at the same price point.
The establishment is very clean, no mild or cracks, doesn’t smell funny. Everybody so welcoming, rooms nice and cozy. Sights all next door, 15 mins walk away. Restaurants and bars near, still a nice and silent neighbourhood.
Staying at the Revolution Lofts is like having a pied-a-terre right in Boston’s South End. Super-comfortable and close to everything, it’s perfect. The friendly staff always makes me feel welcome, and the kitchenette is equipped for a simple meal in the event that going out to one of the many excellent restaurants at the doorstep seems like too much effort. I love seeing the lights of the Prudential Center at night, and enjoying all the advantages of city life.
Unique place! You’re greeted with a long fireplace, cool artwork and warm greetings from all of the staff. There is even a coffee shop right inside the lobby! Everyone was very nice, room was very clean and the beds are definitely comfy. Not far from Newbury at all, easily within walking distance. Has a real trendy feel to it - not your typical hotel. There’s also a really cool Mexican restaurant called Cósmica that’s excellent. You can’t beat the prices, at either place. Highly recommended, we will be back!
I had a king sized bed all to myself and it was wonderful. I also enjoyed how you could get recommendations from the staff at the front desk. I’ll be considering this location for my next trip. Thank you!
Great hotel with good location. They have Perfect rooms if you are more Than 2 people. They also had a gym that is in good condtition. Would like to have more stuff but it was ok. The service was good, if you want a taxi just ask in the reception.
Friendly and cooperative staff, great common area downstairs for morning coffee and reading or to take a break during the day, simple clean room, not extravagant and so it was affordable. I really enjoyed staying here.
The hotel is well located and the rooms are clean and well decorated. However the soundproofing is not good, we could hear the person next door phone conversation quite clearly. Also there is no parking options nearby, you will have to walk at least a few blocks and pay another 30 to 40$ per night. So even if the rates are interesting, in the end it’s not if you consider the very small room and lack of parking.
