This is THE CUTEST place to stay!!! It’s in a peaceful, park like setting with the nicest cottages. Everything is well kept. Our cottage had a small kitchen with pots and pans to cook meals with a stove, fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. There were plenty of dishes to serve up the meals and all types of glasses for drinks, even wine glasses. It’s an older place but EVERYTHING was spotless!!! Rebecca and Jennifer were so helpful and friendly! Hugo, the mouser cat was AWESOME!!! He made me one of his friends right away! My husband and I are planning to make a trip up in the Fall. I can hardly wait!!!

The Pines Cottages are exactly what we hoped: quaint, comfortable, quiet and very much like the forested cottages we stayed in as children, when visiting the mountains with our parents. Our cottage, #6, was spotless with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, coffee, and more. Management could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We were so comfortable, we extended our stay to a week. There are wonderful restaurants and groceries and shops nearby. The original cottages have been preserved. I hope to stay here again.

We are delighted to know that you found your room comfortable and to your liking. Our goal is to provide a relaxing environment for our guests. The vintage style reminds a lot of our guests of mountain vacations they took with their families and we hope that new experiences can turn into more happy memories of vacations here in our beautiful mountains. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you again.

Had a really great and enjoyable stay at the Pine Cottages! This place is a cute, rustic series of cabins which are a wonderful mountain alternative to a cookie-cutter hotel. Most are small and designed for 2-3 people, but I stayed in the main house (now Cabin 16) which was a three bedroom stand alone with full kitchen and living room with gas fireplace. Large front porch and a fire pit in the front yard were nice benefits. Only 5 mins from UNC-Asheville and 10-15 mins from downtown Asheville. Beds were comfy and the units were older (as you would expect in a Cabin lodge that has been around since the 30's) but extremely well kept and cleaned which resulted in a really charming place and a great experience. Not ideal for walkaround nightlife of Asheville based on location but still pretty convenient for a more getaway type visit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It's wonderful to hear that our location served you well during your stay. Being close to local attractions and transport links is something our guests often appreciate, and we're glad it was the case for you. Cabin sixteen is a great alternative to a regular hotel room while staying here in the mountains. Our staff does an excellent job of cleaning and maintaining these older cabins and cottages. Thank you for acknowledging that in your review. Please come stay with us again when you have an opportunity. We look forward to your next visit!

What an amazing gem of a place to stay! And close to Downtown Asheville! My husband did a one night little getaway for our 15yr anniversary and the staff were so kind and accommodating. They even got us some little roses and an anniversary card!! The bed was incredibly comfy, the house is adorable and we will definitely be staying there again.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback it is greatly appreciated. We feel horrible that you were so disappointed because of the fireplace not working. I regret that the desk staff wasn't informed we could have offered you another cottage with a functioning fireplace on your second night or had someone come repair the one in cottage 6. Please accept our sincere apologies. Management will be reaching out to you soon. Again, thank you for your honest feedback, we hope you will give us another chance in the future.

We stayed in Cottage 5, built in the 1940s. As you might expect in an older property like this, there were a few quirks- rust stain in the tub and rickety screen door. But it was quaint and charming and comfortable and best of all, dog friendly. I enjoyed the porch. While it wasn’t perfect, I’m giving it a perfect rating because it suited our needs perfectly. I’d much rather stay in a quaint place like this than some bland corporate hotel. Rebecca checked us in and Dan checked us out, and THEY were perfect- couldn’t have been more friendly and hospitable. We may be back someday.

We (two of us) spent a weekend in Cottage #2. It has a comfortable King size bed with a loveseat to sit on to watch a movie if you choose. The little kitchen was great, and the provided coffee maker and coffee was a nice addition. We were able to play games at the kitchen table. The bathroom was quite small, but we managed just fine. The tiny shower had great hot water and pressure but gave us a bit of a challenge. It was a hot summer weekend - the little window air-conditioning unit kept us cool. We would defiantly stay here again when visiting the Asheville area. (If you do stay here, check out the close by Weaverville's little downtown area for great food! )

My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs while we attended our nephew’s wedding. Our cottage was neat and clean and had all the amenities we needed….. refrigerator and freezer, stove, coffee maker with supplies, internet, Roku etc. etc. The facility itself is dog friendly so there were cleanup stations throughout the property and plenty of room for us to walk them and plenty of areas for them to explore. The risk of seeing black bears was a little unnerving just because we aren’t used to that but that is prevalent anywhere you stay in that area. If you plan to sightsee we suggest you plan your routes to avoid the interstate if possible to allow you to see the area as you drive. Also note that there are plenty of places to take you dogs on walking trails and other activities within a few mile radius of the place so no need to drive far unless there is a specific place you want to go. Would highly recommend this place especially if you have pets.
