We tried to book a comfort Inn but they were full. Have to say, it was late so I did not do my normal checking. The booking line then recommended the Econolodge just around the corner. I accepted and when we arrived, I could not believe the shape it was in. Very disappointing. Room run down, toilet seat broken, handle broken. Shower dripped all night. Breakfast was hard donuts and bread was in bag with twist tie. The most disappointing part was I booked through Choice reservations and did not check on line before arriving. It was late and we were tired and not up to getting another spot. They steered me to this as the comfort inn was booked. If choice is putting all these places under the same umbrella, they should know the condition. I seldom ever give a bad review as there is normally SOMETHING good to be said, but not this one. Also when I was booking on line (there was no phone number listed for hotel direct)
Clean, cozy, and convenient across the spectrum. We've stayed here several times in a decade. Nitpick bit for today's stay, the tub edge needs caulking on two edges. Other than that, this is a straight up hotel to rest at in the Asheville area.
I’ll try to be brief. But this hotel is by far the worst I’ve EVER stayed in. The hotel staff very very friendly but that’s it. AC didn’t work, roaches, dirty room, and very omg smelly room. I stayed for 6 hrs and left. See pics....very disappointing
Booked 2 rooms with 2 people in each room. Both were requested to be non smoking. Right away we found cigarette burns on the sheets and on the air conditioners. All 4 beds had various stains on the blankets, sheets, and pillows including a very large stain which might be blood. Plus various small blood stains on the comforters, and even on the wall next to one of the bathroom doors. Front desk employee was very rude and implied that we essentially just got what we paid for and encouraged us to just simply leave. We explained we had no where else to go so she just begrudgingly remade one of our beds, which we then found MORE stains on those blankets as well. Awful experience.
Stopped here last minute as needed to stay overnight in Asheville. The place is very dated and the man behind reception was gawping at me the whole time while my boyfriend was trying to check us in. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and was very dated. There was one coffee sachet in the room so we had to go back down to ask for another. We just wanted a bed for the night, which is was, but not worth the $99 we paid.
