Excellent accommodations. We stayed in the Ralph Waldo Emerson Suite which was extremely Clean, cozy with a Fireplace. Very spacious Highly recommend this room. The 5:00 PM Cocktail hour was a nice touch & able to have some conversation with other Guests. Breakfast was a nice treat

First time in a bed and breakfast...what a wonderful surprise. Thomas greeted us upon arrival and gave us an introductory tour. Ralph served breakfast and chatted with the guests the whole time. It was so enjoyable and relaxing. I would definitely recommend trying this wonderful property. I know we will be back!

What a wonderful experience for some first timers to Asheville! Frank and Ralph are the most accommodating and entertaining hosts and owners! Thomas, the resident innkeeper, was very professional and an excellent resource at recommending things to do nearby! Our room was quaint and cozy equipped with our very own fireplace! The three course breakfast was something we looked forward...

I chose this inn because of some of the great reviews I read and it is close to downtown. However, I have to say I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my suite. I dropped something on the floor and it went under the bed which was so dusty and when I looked back toward the closet at the mini...

The WhiteGate Inn is lovely, a throwback to an earlier way of life. The hosts and staff are welcoming and expansive, happy to help with any plans or decision-making and full of local stories and information. The location is terrific-- very close to downtown. The house and its rooms are beautifully appointed, with superior beds and linens and refreshments available...

We had a wonderful weekend at 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage. Since we were traveling with another couple, we booked the Joyce Kilmer suite. It was lovely and was beyond our expectations. The photos on the website don't do it justice. There were two very nice sized bedrooms, a comfortable living area with TV and great windows to watch the...

We stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite....large and very comfortable....separate large bedroom, full kitchen, living area w/sofa/chair/TV. Parking right outside the door. Breakfasts were huge and unique. Be prepared to be adventurous as in bangers and mash rather than bacon and eggs....also there were 3 courses. Reception held nightly in the sun room with wine and light appetizers. Everyone was...

We stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite which is a precious bungalow off of the main house. The attention to detail was impressive. From the sheets, to the bed-side chocolates and Jacuzzi tub, all the little things added up to a huge, positive impression! The three course breakfast was divine. Frank, Ralph, and their staff make you feel right at home...

Our accommodations were spacious and comfortable, and we felt right at home. The breakfasts were more on the "gourmet" side, but very good and very filling. The location is convenient and the house has an interesting history.

The hosts are super, but the food is not. The entire house needs a good, solid cleaning, and rooms need to be serviced each day. They were never touched. The best part was the nightly conversation with fellow guests. Disappointing!
