This inn deserves all the accolades. Great location on a beautiful residential street, spacious and comfortable room with all the finest touches, delicious breakfasts, a warm welcome each time we returned from a day's activities. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here two nights in both the Nielson room and the Craig-Toms Suite. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The Suite is a much larger space, featuring three separate sitting areas and the bedroom, plus a little balcony that is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. We enjoyed some drinks by the fire pit...

Located close to downtown but in a quiet historic neighborhood, The Lion and the Rose B&B is a perfect location for a visit to Asheville. Innkeeper Lisa is a welcoming host and a ready source of information on food and drinks. We were treated to two gourmet breakfasts and her Southern Benedict was outstanding. The house is comfortable, clean and...

Lisa and Madelyne, mother and daughter, team up to provide a warm and welcoming stay at their B & B. Their home is located with blocks of several excellent restaurants. They served a delicious 3 course breakfast each morning. We slept very comfortably (our bed had a brand new mattress).

We had a wonderful stay at the inn. The top floor suite was lovely, the bed comfortable, and the hosts as friendly as can be. The Inn is walkable from downtown, about 20 minutes, but we had a car anyway - on-site parking, and probably 3 minutes to downtown by car. Can't recommend the Lion and the Rose enough, and...

Steve the inn keeper was amazing! He was there watching over the Inn while the owners were out of town. He is a great Chef and is very personable at the same time. The Inn it self is well kept for being built in 1889. The room and property was very comfortable also. This was our first anniversary and the...

We found The Lion and The Rose to be a so-so place--great location, friendly folks, but low average accomodations and food. Our room was pleasant, but the bed mattress was old and uncomfortable. Coffee was available early (and was good) but breakfast was simply not good. Unlike many B & Bs in the Asheville area, there was no social time/wine/etc....

Thank you for taking the time to review our inn, and we appreciate you choosing us for your stay in Asheville. I am sorry I was not here to meet you, I had planned a few days away before the fall rush. A three star review for us is rare and definitely affects our ranking, but I appreciate your honesty...

This B&B is a treat. Located in the Montford historic district (surrounded by beautiful homes and lush landscaping), it's a short (15-min.) walk to downtown Asheville. We stayed in the Fannie Rice Room on the 2nd floor. The furnishings were lovely, the AC in the room functioned very well, and we heard essentially no noise. Breakfast is at 9 am...

Beautiful and spotless furnishings. Attentive and gracious hosts. Epicurean breakfasts. And a location on a pleasant street that's a short drive or a 15-minute walk to downtown. If you're searching for a pleasant and memorable base of operations that's also relaxing, look no further.
