I am finding it hard to rate this Hotel (B&B, really). So, I'll just relate the best qualities of the place, and then mention things I didn't like. Firstly, and the entire reason for a 4-star rating rather than a 2, is that the staff is wonderful. Super friendly, accommodating people. The breakfast of pumpkin pancakes was amazing (and I...

We always appreciate the time our guests take to share their experience with us and would like to take a moment to address the issues that you mentioned regarding your visit. The Princess Anne Hotel is unique in that we were built in 1924. In its restoration we kept the integrity of the building and have the original hardwood floors,...

Highly recommend this place. As their site says, it's the perfect mix of B&B and hotel. If you like the charm and great breakfast of a B&B but also don't want the fussiness and lack of privacy that comes with some B&Bs, this is perfect. Beautiful building, large rooms, great common areas to hang out in for their wine and...

The Princess Anne is lovely! It was my first time staying there, and I'll definitely be back. It was so much nicer staying here than at a chain hotel. The staff was knowledgeable and so helpful as we were looking for area spa and restaurant information (they were spot on in their recommendations). Breakfast was delicious and the happy hour...

This beautifully restored Bed and Breakfast was a great find. The staff was warm and helpful. We particularly enjoyed happy hour. Sitting on the porch with wine (there are other beverages as well) and hors d'oeuvres was a great way to unwind after a day of touring the area and catch up with family I don't get to see often...

My husband and I were only staying in Asheville one night on our way home from Florida but we really wanted to stay somewhere relaxing. This is it. The feel of the hotel is lovely. The front desk staff is extremely warm and helpful. I only wish we could have stayed longer. My only complaints were the overly soft beds....

We spent another special time at the Princess Anne Hotel in Ashville, NC. Every time we're in the area, we stay there. They make you feel very welcome and go out of their way to make your stay very pleasant. We have recommended the Princess Anne to our friends. Their wine and cheese treat in the afternoon is nice with...

It did seem almost magical and was certainly wonderful! Every detail so well thought out and planned. The friendly staff made check in easy, the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff had even provided a bottle of chilled champagne for us as they knew it was our wedding night! The breakfast was fabulous as well. What a place to...

Not enough glowing words can describe our 4 day stay at this awesome hotel. From call to reserve room to check out, one is made to feel as tho a part of the family. No detail or request seems to be to small or to big. You really can see why a need to reserve a room well in advance...

Arrived late afternoon to a most delectable, complimentary, daily hors d'oeuvre and wine offering. Spent the first night (of two) walking to downtown restaurants/bars since it was only a mile from central downtown. Fantastic breakfast; super-friendly and helpful hostess (Jenny?)/staff; tranquil garden/pond out back; historic rooms with full modern amenities: all set in a leafy, quirky suburban setting. We had...
