We visit Asheville quite often and usually stay here because of the close in proximity to downtown Asheville and the lower price. The rooms have been updated recently and are modern and clean. The beds are comfy, too. The lobby is dated and could use some updating. For those that don't have internet ready access, there is a computer with...

i have stayed here for years now.everyone i meet there seems to be a veteran occupant also. they say the owner bought it when it was really run down.i have seen great changes even in my 4 years of staying here. the views are great of the mountains and Pisgah National Forest in the distance. location is EXCELLENT for getting...

We were a bit apprehensive about booking a downtown supposed 2 star hotel named the "Downtown". In my experience, hotels similarly named and located are of the hourly type. This is anything but! We were a few hours later checking in than planned but it wasn't an issue at all. The front desk crew was very friendly and helpful. So...

You can't beat the value of this hotel. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything in downtown, right across the street from Pritchard Park. It is very basic, but what else do you need? It's clean! I don't go to Asheville to stay in a hotel, I go to experience all it's awesomeness. One of my favorite places to be...

We visit Asheville quite often and this is the place we always book. Yes, it may be dated, but it is clean, safe, relaxing and convienent! Great staff. Location! Location! Location! Could not ask for anything more. Nice pool, good breakfast items. Only complaint is parking is not easy at all but they do have a back lot you can...

The place looks kind of scary as you pull up. It is a little outdated but clean. I'd compare the room to a Days Inn or Comfort Inn, kind of small, but has evertything you need (including fridge and microwave). The bathroom was in need of some paint and tile work, but not enough to scare me away. Keep in...

My wife and I visit Asheville several times a year, and have found that the Downtown Inn & Suites is the perfect hotel for us. It is located close to shops, restaurants, galleries, and music venues. Once we park, we're on foot for the whole trip, a huge plus in our book. Not a fancy hotel, but the rooms are...

We were in Asheville 3/9-3/12/13 for the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament. The Downtown Inn is the best location for the money in town. We could walk any where we wanted to go. 10-15 minute walk to the Cellular Center. This hotel suited us just fine. The outside is a little dated, but our room appeared to have had some remodeling...

The Downtown is not a fancy inn, or even close to it, but I have to say my short stay here (one night) was better than I could have expected. The price was just right, $59.00! We were in Asheville for just one short night for a concert at a nearby venue. The rooms were clean and the beds were...

Most of what you read here on TripAdvisor was true for our stay as well. We were very happy with our choice to stay here...I couldn't decide because I really like a nice hotel, but we were only going to be in Asheville for one night and we wanted to park the car at the hotel and not get in...
