I went to the Black Walnut for a work retreat but I am already planning a return trip with my husband. We love to use B and Bs when we travel - the Black Walnut is by far the best one I have been to in the States. The home is fabulous - has been restored with love and attention...

We decided to get away for the night and headed to Asheville for relaxation (we live about 30 west of the city)... The folks at the Black Walnut were such great hosts... we were greeted by the gentle and lovely Belle (puffy white dog) and Bill (the not so fluffy assistant innkeeper) and a delightful spread at their evening "tea"...

My husband I I recently stayed at the Black Walnut Bed & Breakfast over Thanksgiving week. The experience was wonderful! Service was beyond compare...our hosts went all out to make our stay enjoyable. The room was elegantly decorated yet warm and inviting, complete with a fireplace and a sumptuous bed. Location was superb...just minutes from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore...

My wife and I wanted to have a quick get away and landed on Asheville & the Black Walnut. We have stayed at a few other B&Bs in Asheville in years past and rate this one at the top. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, had great tips on restaurants and prepared fabulous breakfasts each morning. The Inn itself...

We usually prefer bed and breakfasts because of the warm hospitality. Not these people. Not only did our room have no heat, but the innkeepers can be summed up in a word "cold" - for warmth and hospitality look elsewhere - Asheville is too beautiful a city to spoil with a visit here.

Asheville is a great town and the Black Walnut is a wonderful place from which to launch an Asheville adventure. Lori and Peter (Innkeepers) are knowledgeable and accommodating. Breakfasts were great and recommendations for restaurants in and around Asheville were excellent. The rooms were cozy and well-appointed (stayed in two during our stay). No complaints.

Black Walnut B&B was an ideal B&B experience -- from the beauty of the building and grounds, to the furnishing and amenities in the room, to the spectacular breakfasts and tea times, and perhaps most importantly to the charming hosts who were incredibly helpful for touring the areas attractions and recommending delightful restaurants.

We had a great time when we stayed for 3 nights. If you appreciate architecture, fantastic food, large porches, great accomodations and more, this is the place to stay. I loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the large front veranda, enjoying wine and appetizers every evening. Breakfast is set is a gorgeous dining room with all the bells and...

The Walnut Room, was beautiful, peaceful and very spacious. When it is cooler the fireplaces are lit or gorgeous. We looked forward to the breakfasts with great anticiptaion as...

We stayed for only 1 night and it was truly a great experience for us. We were treated like family and the hospitality was very gracious. Everything was wonderful; our room, the food, directions and most of all they treated everyone with such honest and open hospitality. I highly recommend staying their again.
