Chisos Mtn Lodge, was a surprise! The location in the mountains and the views were excellent. The restaurant and bar were outstanding. The food was exceptional in my view. There were also short and long hikes available from the lodge as well as an amphitheater. A visitors center with interesting information was located in the hotel parking lot as well...

I can really only verify what others have said, that the accommodation is showing its' age and needs refreshing, but that the location is excellent and the lodge is THE place to stay when visiting Big Bend. Regardless of a maintenance deficiency, everything is clean and the housekeeping staff does a great job keeping your room tidy. Each room has...

You definitely pay for the privilege of staying within the borders of Big Bend. The rooms and amenities are not fancy, but did have a small refrigerator/freezer and microwave. The location is excellent, the views are beautiful. I stayed in a Casa Grande room. I loved the fact that there was no TV, no radio, no Internet... i.e., totally off...

Chisos Mountains Lodge is the only lodging inside Big Bend National Park. It is located in the Chisos Basin at about 5000 feet elevation. this makes it an ideal place to stay even when the temperatures in the desert are high. the rooms are clean, have a coffeemaker, a microwave and a fridge. wifi was available but very slow in...

This is the place to stay if you're visiting Big Bend. We stayed in a Casa Grande room. You can't beat the price, location, setting, friendliness of staff, etc. The restaurant serves really tasty food and you can access wifi at the gift shop, but I highly recommend being completely disconnected. With that being said, while the beds were comfortable,...

As the only place to stay in the entire Big Bend park, I was not anticipating such a nice place. The location and scenery is fantastic. The rooms are not huge but are well appointed and comfortable; each has a veranda or shared porch with comfortable chairs from which to enjoy the views. No wifi in the rooms but it...

The lodge is rustic, needs some upgrades for sure but the views are unbeatable. Overall we were very comfortable if you go with the right expectations. You'll have to take stairs so be prepared. They give you all the amenities you need, we wished we could have stayed longer just to sit in such beauty. The restaurant is nice. They...

We stayed at Emory Peak Lodge room; nice king size bed. take note it is 30 steps to get to the room and only a few close parking spaces. The bathroom was small but adequate. Great location right by the trails and the only lodging, other than camping, in the park. At 5400 feet elevation, it was a lot cooler...

Beautiful at day and amazing star gazing at night! Remember the speed limit in the Park :-) The hikers lunch was delicious, I had the chicken salad wrap. Waiters in the restaurant were so friendly and great resources for park information.

We stayed in the Casa Grande Room for 1 night in April and would have preferred to stay more nights had the Lodge not been fully booked. For comparison, we stayed at the Gage Hotel in Marathon for 1 night and enjoyed the Lodge 10x more (not to mention it's half the price). Highly recommend booking months ahead. Location: the...
