I stayed here recently with my parents and pup. It was super great to be able to leave my dog for short periods in the quiet, A/C room while we ran out to grab food, go for a bike ride, etc. The room had a ridiculously high ceiling, which made it's standard, if a bit narrow, dimensions feel much more luxe. Theirs Grills out back, and a pool. The whole place has a 'We just built this here' vibe. Because they just build it there. I think I've camped where this building is, like a few years ago.

Dog stuff; they have no off leash area. But, theirs not much around it for any sort of distance, and it's bordered by parking lots. Between the building and lots is a strip of grass encircling the building, with periodic dog waste bags/bins. Surprisingly nice, since your not likely to use this as a home base for a long walk, but for quickie relief laps between adventures. If they had even a tiny off leash fenced area, they'd win huge points. How about that gravel spot north of the poolhouse? Also, the bathroom facilities in room were really convenient for light dog-washing.

side note if it's still 'covid touch free breakfasts' just skip it, it's just super processed costco run crap, go get real food or bring your own for now.

Our family traveled to Moab, UT this weekend for a middle school basketball tournament. We had packed a picnic supper and were so pleased to find a spacious breakfast area where we could enjoy dinner together. They have coffee, ice water and hot water for tea or cocoa available 24/7. They have glass mugs available for use by their visitors. It's the little things that make a huge impact. We loved this thoughtful touch. The rooms are spacious (we had 2 queen beds and a couch with a hide away pull out bed). Perfect for traveling families! Microwave & refrigerators in room too. The breakfast was plentiful and included a variety of offerings - make-your-own waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage, pastries, bagels and muffins, an oatmeal bar with 5+ toppings and cold cereal.

We were in the breakfast area up until they were ready to clean up, and the woman who was working made sure that we didn't need anything else before she put away the food. At other places we've stayed, we've felt pushed out and that workers didn't want us to linger... but she was so kind and thoughtful! (I feel terrible I cannot recall her name) We enjoyed another cup of coffee before checking out.

Definitely a place we would return to if we come back to stay in Moab!

My only complaint here is that the Wyndham App that we used to book the hotel is mapped incorrectly. It appears to be the closest option of Wyndham properties, when in fact it’s the farthest from Arches National Park. It was very nice and modern- must be newish construction. Breakfast was handled well and the attendant was available to provide individuals with tea or coffee. Our breakfast was pre-wrapped pastries with individually foil-wrapped breakfast burritos. Juices were canned.

Two key aspects to this review.
1) Absolutely make sure you get a room on the west side (backside) of the hotel. This new hotel sits on Moab's south side where the highway comes into Moab, right where the speed limit drops. We carry a fan with us for white noise, but the Jake Brakes on every semi roared outside our room all night long. Not sure how anyone sleeps on the east facing side of this place.
2) Brand new hotel. But they've already screwed up life for tea-drinkers. For anyone with a taste for tea, you know that when a hotel uses carafes for their hot water, they better mark it well so it never gets coffee in it. Apparently that's not the case here.I drink a very strong tea and couldn't taste an ounce of its flavor as coffee overwhelmed it completely.

In my mind these two things kill a hotel review. Rooms are nice. Service is great. But the location was very poorly planned and Wyndham, you managed to ruin hot water.

Pros:
• Newer property
• Liked the hotel used all paper cups, no styrofoam or plastic cups. Better for the environment.
Cons:
• Weird smell throughout the entire property including the room. Not sure if it is the disinfecting solutions the hotel is using but it has a very unpleasant scent
• HVAC wall unit started making loud noises after it ran for a little while and it woke us up several times in the middle of the night
• Breakfast was NOT vegetarian friendly. The only hot food item was the burrito and all of them had sausage. I asked if they had any that just had eggs and/or cheese and only got a cold NO from the woman behind the front desk.
• Tissues provided in the room were of the cheapest quality and they felt like sandpaper on my nose. Not acceptable especially during the winter months! I expected a little more from the Windham brand.
• Service at the front desk was average. Woman at the check-in was not very friendly. The lady with black hair at check-out was nicer.

We stayed at this location 2 times a few nights in Oct & a few nights in November.
I believe its the newest Hotel in town and has been open for about a year. The rooms on both of our stays seemed very clean. Moab has a huge electronic sign when people arrive into town on Hwy 191 that says Masks are mandatory. The hotel says it on their website and at both the front and back doors. Both times we stayed at this location we were using the grill out back by the pool and "no joke" every person that walked in the back door did not wear a mask. One evening as we were coming back to the hotel we noticed 2 gentleman cowboys arrive with no mask, walk past the 2 signs at the front door that stated Mask Required and the front desk girl checked them in. So if your looking for a hotel that doesn't give a Sh+t about the town's policy or their own policy of wearing a mask this is the location for you. Makes me wonder how clean the rooms really are? Do they actually change the pillowcases and sheets? That really wasn't an issue for us because we don't trust that the housekeepers changed the sheets and pillowcase before COVID. We just brought our own.

We stayed at the Wingate while visiting Arches and Canyonland National Parks. Being on the main road and at the edge of town was a benefit. We were within a short drive of downtown Moab, without being in the crowds.
This is a fairly new hotel and had all the amenities we could've wanted. Our room was spacious and very clean. We requested a room away from the main road and thus had a nice view of the hills and pool, and it was quiet.
We didn't use the pool, but it looked very inviting. There was also a spacious seating area with fire pits between the hotel and pool area which we enjoyed each evening.
A breakfast buffet was offered - with waffle maker, pancake maker, scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and juice and coffee. There was plenty of seating space. Hand sanitizer was readily available to assuage my concerns about virus transmission.
We had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again.

Due to COVID-19, staff are not doing any housekeeping, even when requested. We are staying here for six nights, and the hotel will not do anything for us except give us clean towels at the front desk and take out the trash when we set it outside. We asked to have our bathroom cleaned and our sheets changed midway through our stay, and they very rudely refused. The room was nice and nicely decorated (hence the two stars), but I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

I always look for value when I’m not staying in more traditional hotels or resorts. Wingate did not provide that. The cost per night is not worth what you get: paper thin walls (I could hear the phone conversations of our neighbors and every door that was opened), the water pressure wasn’t strong and that is a must when hiking all day. I was most disappointed in breakfast, as there were no vegetarian options, minus some bready items. Pork was included in everything, including the eggs. Vegetarian protein options are important especially in a town where everyone is there to hike. There were many travelers with dogs, which I don’t mind but I absolutely mind when travelers bring their dogs into the breakfast area with them. I am proud of the employee who told an entitled guest that her large, drooling dog was not allowed in the breakfast area. Even though the guest was upset (and ended up giving her dog to the manager to pet sit while she made herself some breakfast) Wingate held true to their policy.

Despite the pandemic, I had to travel from CA to CO. Stayed here on my way home. Excellent property—COVID warning signs up everywhere, free masks, lots of hand sanitizer stations. Almost all guests wore masks; only exceptions were a very large family group in the pool one evening, and a chubby middle aged white woman—yes, a typical Karen—who complained in her Texas twang about having to wear a mask, so on her way out to her car after checking out, she blew her nose in her mask, ripped it off her face, and deposited it and her half finished mega-gulp soda from 7-11 on a small table next to the exit. The masked staff had obviously been watching her, though because as soon as she walked out the door, a cleaner in mask and gloves swooped on with a trash bag and thoroughly cleaned the table. Don’t know who hurt that slob Karen, but she was disgraceful and dirty. Her act of “defiance” was petty and impotent. I’ve been all over the world, and only in the US have I witnessed such ugly behavior.

Despite this one instance though, the stay was nice—room sparkling clean & quiet—and staff were Attentive and accommodating.
