We specifically booked this hotel to use the hot tub after long days of biking. The hut tub was closed our ENTIRE visit and the hotel's solution was to give us a $30 refund for the fourth days we stayed. Really awful costumer service experience and would definitely not say again. Breakfast was also really disappointing - just card-loaded options or cold eggs.
Loved our stay at this hotel. Very comfortable, spacious rooms, friendly staff, great location. The swimming pool was amazing and the breakfast was good too. Lot of restaurants and departmental stores close by. Arches National Park was just 10 mins away.
Two absolutely terrible nights of sleep. There appears to be very little sound proofing between floors. We were placed next to the elevator, so I was concerned about noise from there, but we barely heard anything. The people above us could be heard stomping around past midnight and then started again at 5am. I even downloaded an noise cancelling app, but the noise could be heard through all of this. Tried to get ear plugs from the front desk, but no one was there. I couldn’t wait to leave. The rooms themselves are fine and staff are friendly when available. The spread for breakfast was decent for a budget hotel, but honestly felt that everything tasted slightly off. Limited options for protein other than eggs. Didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel after day 1 due to this. Will definitely try elsewhere due to all of this next time in Moab.…
Good, newer hotel. Very high ceilings in room. Well accommodated, and a good hot breakfast in the morning. Good location for Arches or Canyonlands National Parks. It puts you right on the main strip in Moab.
I will start off by saying the hotel staff is great, the hotel is clean and the room was nice, except for a couple of issues. For a King size suite, the vanity was very small, not even enough space to put my makeup bag, I had to close the toilet lid and put it there. The other issue was where the air conditioner was placed, right next to the side of the bed so one of us froze while the other was comfortable, it seems the seating area would have been a better place for it than right next to the bed. We also had no clue when we checked in whether the thermostat on the wall or the controls on the unit actually controlled it. We called down to the front desk and they said they weren’t sure. Turns out, or as far as our room, the thermostat didn’t control it, it was the actual controls on the a/c. In fact, the wall control showed a constant 71 degrees whether the room was chilly or not. Breakfast was good and offered a variety and the people keeping everything supplied were super nice and kept the tables cleared as soon as someone got up. There was an issue that concerned us though. As we were heading toward the elevator after our breakfast on Wednesday, a door on the 1st floor was propped open that had 2 queen beds that had been stripped. On top of one of the beds laid a male housecleaner, laying on his back, with his shoes on the mattress looking at his phone. When he saw me he got up, ran to the door and shut it, very concerning that someone thinks it is ok to put their shoes on a bed someone is going to sleep in. My husband didn’t want me to report it because he said he was afraid of retaliation but surely this was not his first time doing this. If it is break time, go somewhere other than a bedroom you are supposed to be cleaning and not put your shoes where someone will sleep that night. I know he was an employee because I saw his badge.…
We stayed here for 2 nights as our base for visiting Arches and Canyonlands parks… we loved it!! It was very clean .. the room was wonderful with a little kitchen area.. comfortable bed and nice bathroom. We had a little balcony that overlooked the pool which we enjoyed. The lobby was nicely decorated and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning. They had a nice selection with waffles.. fruits.. hot entrees etc. It is a perfect location for visiting Arches and there are so many shops and restaurants within the area. There is a little grocery store right across the street which is convenient and the tour company we used was right down the street. This is definitely a perfect place to stay for a visit to this area!!
We stayed here for almost a week. The daily breakfast was delicious and had SO many options. The rooms are large and so comfortable. The best part was the employees, they go so far out of their way (DJ and Christopher especially!) to make your stay the best it can be. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It is also walking distance to tons of restaurants, stores and even groceries.
More modern in decor and furnishings than other similar chain properties with a better equipped kitchen area and a recycle bin. Hence this well located Mainstay merits a rating of four. Otherwise unremarkable with a tiny pool and no room safe.
First of all - We stayed in Moab many times at many places & none of the Moab hotels are within walking distance of Arches. None. Don’t buy into ads claiming they’re closest because it doesn’t matter. You still have to drive there. This was a good place to stay when exploring the National parks. Been to Moab many times but first time here. The suites are smallish but have lots of things you may need for a longer stay, kitchen items that we didn’t use. Breakfast is provided & is the basic hotel fare. Thank you from desk Chris for friendly & thorough help! It’s close to the little downtown for dining and shopping after days in the park. The pool is also smallish but was nice after a hot day exploring. Pay more a balcony facing the back for a nice place for morning coffee ( in the shade).…
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was horrible based on two things. First, our room was infested with bugs! At the front desk they warned us that there’s a problem in the hotel, and we asked for a full refund prior to checking in. They refused and said the problem was minor. We decided to stay, and when we checked in we immediately noticed several of these bugs. We killed them and moved on. When we were about to go to sleep, we noticed at least 25-30 everywhere and starting to get into our suitcases. We immediately packed and left the room at 11PM. They moved us to another room and we only saw 1 or 2 bugs. When I asked the manager for a refund on the first night, she refused and said “you were warned”. She said she could give me a small discount of 20% for the first night. I was shocked at this but we didn’t have any recourse. Due to the infestation as well as the lack of care by the Choice hotels staff, I would avoid this property and other choice properties at all costs. They did have a good breakfast and the hotel was in a good location, but that doesn’t make up for our terrible experience.…
