They are the best. Clean, quiet, full service ..... yes! Centrally located, 7.-11 is nearby, train station and AT is about mile away, AT Conservatory is on same street few blocks away. They have great shuttle service.

I stayed at Teahorse for two nights while I visited the historic areas in and around Harpers Ferry. Communications with Ben, the manager, were excellent. Everything was very clean. Unlike other hostels, here the bunkbeds are very good quality as are the wooden floors. The kitchen is adequately equipped for basic needs. Hikers, bikers, and other travelers gathered in the...

I spent 2 nights here on my Appalachian Trail backpacking trip. The hostel is very clean, and the owners son Ben was very friendly and helpful. There is a hot waffle breakfast in the morning that is made for you. The location is near the post office and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy which is especially useful for us AT backpackers....

Me and a buddy stopped here on the first night of our bike trip up the C&O Canal. After a 65 mile ride from D.C. and a steep climb through scenic Harpers Ferry, the Teahorse was a welcome destination. The rooms were very clean, the price was reasonable, and the complimentary waffles were yummy the next morning. Recommended.

We stayed here one night during an Appalachian Trail hike. Our laundry was done, bunks were good, the living area was nice, breakfast was plentiful, owners were helpful, and fuel canisters were available for sale -- All for a good price. I definitely recommend this hostel.

This was our stop on the second day of a 3 day bike trip on the towpath from Cumberland to Washington. After riding over 65 miles you have to climb a long fairly steep hill to get to the Teahorse. It's actually in Bolivar, WV. It caters mostly to Appalachian Trail hikers but bikers are also welcome. Our host was...

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Harper's Ferry while biking the C&O Canal or hiking the Appalachian Trail, it's not a bad choice. The proprietor was very friendly and cooked a great breakfast and the fridge was well stocked with pay-as-you-consume-them drinks. There's a shed out back for your bikes, which is a handy way to...

Let me get this straight. You don't want to make your own bed, share a room or bathroom, and you want to sleep in in the morning. The Teahorse Hostel has dormitory style accommodation - one room has 4 beds and the other room has 10 beds. For $33 plus tax per night, guests get a bed in a clean...

Stayed over the Labor Day weekend and Lauren was just amazing. Checking on us, making waffles for breakfast, it was a pleasure to stay here. We stayed in the 10 bed dorm, which was really clean with clean shared bathrooms too. Location is pretty close to the historic town and a short drive to other nearby sites. Definitely will recommend.

Clean dorm style hostel located up the hill from the train station and Appallachian Trail. Hostess well organized and friendly. Social area very popular for exchanging war stories from the trail. Free breakfast capped off a good stay.

Absolutely wonderful! Laurel, the owner, made everybody as comfortable as possible. She arranged the sleeping areas so that they would accommodate singles or families or hikers or other kinds of visitors. She cooked a great waffle breakfast, the bed was perfectly comfy with a light above it so that I could read. Also- Many AT hikers stay there and she...
