Harbor hill house is a Victorian mansion located on the bluffs overlooking the Apostle Island located on Lake Superior. It has a commanding view of the water and the downtown from a wrap around covered porch. The views are simply breathtaking. The mansion has been refurbished to high standards and has many additional amenities.

Great location. Walking distance to ferry, marina, kayak shuttles and restaurants. Rooms are clean. Service is nice. They save parking spots for hotel guests. During covid... breakfast can't get to go, have to eat there (didn't like that). Dinner you can get to go. Great rooftop bar, wish they saved spots for hotel guests. Can take dinner to a park behind the hotel to picnic. Felt comfortable Covid-wise - that they taking precautions, distancing, masking, plexiglass check-in, and not entering your room. They were quick to bring towels etc.

At home at Harbor Hill. The hosts make you feel welcome and at home. When there, stay put for awhile on the front porch looking down into one the most interesting little harbors in America. If you do go down to the town and harbor look up because Harbor Hill and its neighbor across the street are what give Bayfield it's New England look. The breakfasts are superb; you may need nothing else for the rest of the day.

Hidden from plain sight in the hills of Bayfield this little advertised B&B is one you don't want to miss a chance to spend some time at. So comfortable and homey! Mornings offer breakfast to order and lovely conversations with hosts Track and Karen that make you feel like you are a part of the family. Just minutes away from downtown Bayfield with a view of Lake Superior that is awesome. Only a Ferry ride away from Madeline Island although we enjoyed Bayfield much more. Within driving distance of several apple and berry farms. Make sure and stop at Ericksons for a great little store and wonderful apple treats. A quiet and quaint place to lose yourself in relaxation. Our room had a spa tub with comfortable king size bed and a picture window looking over the harbor. Sunrise and sets were spectacular. Thanks Track and Karen! We had a lovely time.

Upon arriving to Bayfield for Apple Festival on Saturday we pulled up to the Harbor Hill House and were greeted by Karen and Track. I knew right away that it was going to be a great place to stay. Our room (Lighthouse) room was fantastic and very cozy and comfortable. The house overall was gorgeous and well kept. We met another couple saying the night and instantly became friends. I loved the laid back atmosphere and spent a good amount of time visiting with the hosts. In fact, I could probably spend a weekend there and never leave. I've stayed in many hotels and a few B&B's before and this stay takes the cake! If all B&B's were this great, I would never stay in a hotel again! The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable about Bayfield and the attractions there. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Bayfield. And I'm currently planning 2 more trips there next summer. 5 stars and beyond!

Harbor Hill House was an easy selection. It is beautiful, charming, and you can't ask for a better location. I have to thank Karen & Track McCreary for helping to make my daughter's 11th birthday week enchanting, warm, and extra fun! We stayed in the Skyview Room and it couldn't have been more lovely -- spectacular view, comfortable bed, and all the details that ensure a wonderful experience. Breakfasts made to order with all of Track's special touches ~ delicious & delightful! Each day, we learned more about the history and local attractions. Their wisdom & suggestions *really* made the week perfect. We can't wait to book another week, soon!

My wife & I had a very nice two night stay here this October. Sitting up on a hill, looking out on lake Superior the view from the porch is outstanding. Being a very short walk down the hill to the rest of the city makes it a very convenient location. The owners, Track & Karen are welcoming, and make you feel comfortable, in addition to being quite interesting to converse with. And Track makes a great customized breakfast to your liking! We stayed in the evergreen room and although comfortable, nicely decorated and clean, we found the bed to be a bit soft. However, this may be simply our preference for a very firm mattress.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate all your input as it helps us make everyone's stay with us more enjoyable. Our view is one that is hard to beat, and Track does enjoy cooking. It is difficult to have a mattress that is to everyone's liking and we do hope to update them this spring.

We had a wonderful experience at the harbor hill house. A beautiful view of lake superior from the house and only 1 minute away from the ferry. Our host's were very kind and accommodating and on top of that they made a great made to order breakfast. This was the first time we stayed at a B&B we will definitely do it again! Although they set the bar!! Highly Reccommend :)

If you are looking for a place to relax with an amazing view of the harbor and a delicious breakfast every morning, this is the place. This felt like a home away from home. Karen and Track were excellent hosts with lots of knowledge about the history of the area. We will definitely stay here again.

But better! Harbor Hill House is a charming, welcoming B&B down the block and across the road from the Madeline Island Ferry. Within easy walking distance of downtown Bayfield, it offers the right mix of quiet, friendliness, and convenience. We had an amazing view of the harbor from our room. The room itself was spacious, had a comfy reading chair, as well as a reading light! The mattress was just right for both our backs.

The proprieters, Karen and Track, are terrific: friendly, helpful, and amazing cooks. Breakfast was really a treat. We'll definitely return.
