The inside of the place is very nice and the people were accomadating but we were there on a Saturday night and they had a party, well early in the morning the party was in the halls and very noisy. Sadly no one took care of this problem and it took a couple hours for it to quite down. There...

I go to East Tennessee once a year to visit the historic towns and do day hikes on the Appalachian Trail. I had visited Greeneville once, 2 years ago, and wanted to see it again and check it out as a retirement possibility, so I booked a room in the General Morgan Inn. I'm very glad I did and will...

I stayed at the General Morgan Inn while meeting a group of friends for the weekend. The hotel was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of blankets and pillows to make it extra comfy. The room was decorated very nice, mainatining its historic feel, while all the modern necessities (fridge, tv) was right on hand....

This is a nice quiet hotel....which is what we needed! It was very clean and decorated to the era mostly. We walked around the block and visited some of the shops which were cute and some interesting! I would stay there again...they allowed us to have a 1pm checkout too which was nice after our delicious brunch in the hotel...

I have not spent the night in this hotel, however I have seen the rooms and they were lovely! We toured several in preparation for our sons wedding and finally booked a suite for them. Unfortunately, due to flight conflicts, we had to cancel, much to their dismay. We did have the rehearsal dinner there (December 2012) and the restaurant...

When I stayed there it was a Friday through Monday trip. When I checked in I was told that breakfast was not served on the weekend so Monday was the only day I was given a voucher which was for the cafe located on the property. Their breakfast consisted of bag oatmeal small breakfast sandwiches and stuff like yogurt and...

Being a historic building you expect some character. Wall paper needed some attention but room clean. Bed comfortable, easy access, staff very nice. Shopping in the area was nice. The two nights we spent were restful as we wanted.

I had never heard of this place before but I'm glad I chose it. Beautiful, historic, and clean. The service was remarkable. I wish there would've been breakfast offered on Sat. and Sun., however, the person working the desk was willing to look up information and call area places to find out needed information. I would stay here again.

I stayed at the inn for one night, during a business trip in mid-April, 2015. The inn was pleasantly appointed, with nice landscaping at the entrance, and a large, comfortable entry/waiting/lounge area, adjacent to their in-house bar and restaurant. Compared to standard rooms at the chain hotels, the rooms at the General Morgan were larger and quite comfortable, with high...

From the grand entrance to the charming hallways and restaurant/bar, we were very pleased with our stay at the General Morgan. They definitely invested and restored history. The Inn had excellent parking and access, our room had all the amenities we needed and the town itself had a lot of history and plenty to offer in terms of restaurants. The...
