My company tried to save some money and therefore booked us into the Good Hotel for the Photonics West trade show. I am surely not somebody who needs exceptional service but calling this hotel a "good hotel" is really an overstatement. What I liked - the price - free WiFi What I did not like - no breakfast available -...

Every thing was OK about about it, what you would expect for the price, its near the dogy area of Tenderloin with lots of homeless people around. Its near the public...

The Good is located in an "up and coming" part of San Francisco. If you like to wander the streets alone at night, this may not be the place for you. There are lots of street people around, and one night all I could hear was shouting from my window. With that said, I like this neighbourhood. It's close to...

This hotel should be judged on exactly what it promotes itself to be. It is a 2 and a half star hotel, which was formally a motel, located in a pretty low at heel part of town. It is aimed at youngish travellers who like the 'boutique' feel but can't afford the real thing. I have read all the reviews...

This was my first time in San Francisco and it was a great trip except for this hotel. We waited over 30 minutes to check in and finally left before checking in because we had dinner reservations. Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
