This is my second time staying at the Good Hotel within the last 6 months. My first experience was horrible at best and I promised never to stay there again. However, the price on a last minute booking sucked me back in. To my surprise the 2nd time around was much better than the first. I still experienced some issues...

Rooms are a little tight for four people, but they are clean. We ended up finding the price higher than expected after a number of "taxes" were added to the bill, along with the $25 to park in the otherwise empty underground.. great central location though, and a easy going vibe.

I'll start by saying that I didn't have really high expectations for this hotel. I read a lot of the reviews after my company booked my business trip and informed me that I'd be staying at the good hotel. Here are the bullet points: Room Size: Other reviewers seemed to complain a lot about the rooms being small. They are,...

Good hotel was excellent for me, If you are going for a short time or vacation. It's well located, near to all principal transportation and major street. Although the area is no super good it's near to 6th street (not good) it didn't really bother me. The service staff was excellent all the time, Rooms were always clean on time,...

The staff of the hotel were not the most people friendly. When we checked in we were met with a sour pussed girl who did not wan to help/answer any of our questions. Do NOT recommend staying here, even at the budget prices. Neighborhood isn't as bad as some of the others suggest, but this hotel didn't even meet my lowered expectations for cheap hotels. At the least, I expect room and the bed to be clean; instead, I found a USED BAND-AID on the floor. Blech. Internet was free, but spotty. Service...

The room was large by typical San Francisco standards, and as others have said, the furnishings are sparse. Definitely ask for an extra pillow. Our room tilted downhill somewhat, which made the bathroom door, which was hung level, not shut well in the frame, which was crooked. Service was spotty - some people were fabulous, others quite rude. Parking is...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
