This hotel is expensive but so is all accomodation in San Fran. I liked that the room was ready for check in early. The area was fine I had no issues. The bed was small but comfy and the room was quiet.

Initially I thought we made a mistake staying here. It is a block or two into an area with more homeless and druggy types. Ultimately the neighborhood wasn't as bad as it appeared. We had no problems. The hotel itself is average, clean but needs a bit of work, cute décor. The staff was great. The location was great for... More

The rooms have two 3/4 size beds. This makes them less than a UK double. Its kinda small then for a couple to sleep together. There is no fridge. The shower takes 4 or 5 minutes to warm up. The windows and walls are thin and thus rooms are very noisy. The rooms are clean and staff helpful. We were... More

Cute room. Super friendly. Super clean. Would def stay there again. Not too far/walking distance to the trolley that takes you to Fishermans wharf. They even allow you to borrow bikes and use the gym and pool at best western across the street.

The rooms are clean and well-kept, with all the amenities you'd expect. They push their "eco-friendly" a little too much; they really mean "economical", but it's reflected in the price tag so I'm happy with that. No, it's not the best neighborhood, but it's in a busy part of town with people coming and going all day, so I never... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
