We had a total of 3 night here. The hotel was well presented throughout. One complaint would be the parking, which was implied to be at the hotel but is actually a couple of blocks away. We were told we could unload our luggage in front of the hotel but 2 police officers arrived and moved us along. The rooms...

Dear Mike H, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We do apologize about your experience upon arriving to the hotel, as our local law enforcement is quite strict during certain hours on Sutter St. without considering that you are simply trying to check in to the hotel. In regards to our love of orange,...

We booked through Orbitz, which included a 'non-refundable' policy. We asked to reschedule (not cancel) due to a death in the family. Vertigo denied the request via Orbitz. We were disappointed that Vertigo couldn’t afford more flexibility. Consider booking elsewhere if life might happen.

Hi Mark N, I'm disappointed and sad to hear that Orbitz did not communicate your request to modify your reservation. Orbitz is the company that charged you and could refund your credit card directly as I communicated this to them as well. I wish you would have booked directly to avoid 3rd party issues with these companies and hope you...

I had to spend 7 days in San Francisco and was looking for a place that would be both central, (close to Union Square and shops) but not that close so you could sleep at night without the party noise... The Vertigo Hotel is extremely well located, walking distance to Union Square and several other fun places. Close by are...

Staff were helpful, hotel was clean, the room was nice and they were a few added extras (free coffee in the morning, mini bar in room, free internet access and acess to the printer). The only negative is the location, although we had absolutely no issues it's very close to tenderlions. We didn't go south of the hotel so we...

Stayed here with my wife, and we can not fault this place. It was very clean and very quite. The staff are first class and very friendly and helpful. The decor is very funky but well suited for the city. Would stay here again no questions.

Stayed here for 3 night, easy check in, lovely spacious room on the top floor with complimentary toiletries and plenty of space for suitcases and clothes. Lovely bar on corner of street and pizza shop next door. Convenience store and cafe also very close by. Friendly, helpful staff who gave us advice on how best to get to pier 33....

I chose this hotel blindly from my tour opreator's catalogue, with price and location the main considerations. I couldn't have made a better choice for my needs. The hotel is mid-range. The staff were polite, responsive and efficient. The hotel was smart, fresh and quirkily modern - themed on the Hitchcock film. Check in was efficient. The room was spacious and...

I recently traveled to San Francisco on business in April as I was speaking at a conference. I searched for nearby hotels that fit within my budget. Hotel Vertigo popped up. We chose this hotel for location which is slightly off the touristy Union Square, which was a plus for us. The hotel was clean and service was fair. I think it was just a little off. Did laundry and was told that I had to drop it off at the front desk. Ok. Then I was never told that I...

Dear mcinmd, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you pleasant stay with us. I cannot recommend this hotel for business travel. The Wi-Fi is slow and shamefully insecure; there is essentially no concierge; the exercise facilities and "business center" are minimal; there is nowhere in the hotel to eat. Fairly small rooms and no view, and a wrong turn on a short walk leads swiftly into the Tenderloin. Three things in my room...
