We found this hotel through TripAdvisor and we are so glad we did - this is the perfect place to stay while in San Francisco. The location is great - right in the heart of Union Square and close to a lot of lovely restaurants, cafes, diners and public transport. Also perfect location if you are here to shop. The...

2-Great value (continued)! Very nice couch area. Good bathroom with TV in mirror. Didn't offer all the channels the main TV did. Thoughtful touch of clothesline in bathroom. Functional kitchenette with complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn. Has microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot. NO toaster, cutting board, paring knife, or salt and pepper skakers. Those items would help a lot. Easy to...

Booked to stay here with my family while in San Francisco, solely based on the location for convenience. Upon pulling in to the valet, we were asked if we would need the car again. For $35 per day, you bet I am going to annoy you to use my car as much as I like. Do not ask me this...

We stayed for 5 nights. Choose hotel due to its location and room amenities - King Bed, Sofa, kitchenette, eye for a family of four. As soon as we completed check in we were pushed to the next window and bombarded with questions around time share and attending a breakfast the next day for 1.5 hours and being paid $75...

Not a flashy glitzy hotel but offers large rooms and good value close to Union Square. Only a few minutes walk to the Square, major retail stores and many cafes and restaurants. The lounge upstairs may not be a Hyatt style Executive lounge but it is good to have coffee available at any time. My only real issue is the...

My wife and l spent two nights at this excellent Hotel, post a cruise on Queen Victoria. Whilst our fourth trip to San Francisco, we felt is was time to venture away from Fisherman's Wharf and into the City centre more. What an excellent decision, and what an excellent Oasis to find in Central San Francisco. The most mentionable item...

The hotel itself was nice, for the most part. The location was perfect, and the living/ sleeping area of the room was nice. However, the bathroom was filthy upon check in, with hairs everywhere, especially on the toilet. I manage a hotel myself, so I can overlook minor things, but I would consider this pretty major. (See photo) We had...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience Jessica. I am so sorry you had to spend even a minute of your vacation dealing with a dirty restroom. I know there is a certain level of satisfaction expected when staying at our properties and you did not receive this. Please rest assured we will have our housekeeping staff...

The hotel was very comfortable, rooms were great and location just a couple of blocks from Union Square. Room was quite noisy, I know the location would suggest this, but the windows could really do with an upgrade! Downside was the hard sell at check in to try and get you to attend a timeshare meeting; don't get sucked in!!

We always stay around Union Square and the rooms at the Donatello have been the best so far. Good size sofa with a pull out bed, nice size bathroom with plenty of hot water, alcove area for luggage with a chest of drawers/closet and a kitchenette with a small sink/mini fridge/plates/utensils/sponge/dw soap/cups/glasses/coffee maker. The top floor has outdoor space for...

We open the door from the narrow hallways to find a enormous suite. The windows were tall and area was spacious and the bed was large, high with lots of pillows. Plenty of room to have friends visit and and hang out a bit. The storage area was abundant and the bathroom was clean and luxurious.
