First, my wife and I think the Seal Rock Inn is in the best location of any hotel in the SF Bay area - period. It's located right at Land's End and next to the Sutro Baths. It is a block from Ocean Beach and only 5 minutes from Golden Gate Park. The rooms are quite large and h

I love hotels like this; practical, a little bit of flare, not overpriced, and charming. My husband and I were traveling with my younger brother, and it was a perfect 'somewhat private' separation that the laminate sliding wall provided. The room has everything you need: a kitche

We called in here en route to Lands End. We were welcomed by friendly staff and pleasant surroundings and, more importantly,a busy restaurant. We opted for the corner beef hash and Canadian bacon with eggs. The sourdough toast completed the picture. The food was lovely and the me

Great location near the ocean on the west side of the city. We had a queen and two twin daybeds. Hotel is older and could use some updating. The bathroom was very nicely remodeled. When the front windows facing Geary were closed it was very quiet with noise canceling glass. We

When we are in San Francisco we always stay here. Large rooms and glorious views. The resturant on site is super. I always get a crab dish. Well of course when in SF one must have crab. I just love this dish. My boyfriend love their breakfast. It's really a gem.

Does Seal Rock Inn accept AARP or Military discounts on rooms?
I did not use either of those to stay there, so I suggest you call them and find out.

We did stay at the Seal Rock Hotel. The only thing good about it was that it was close to the warf and dining at the oceanfront restaurant.
You perhaps thought that the Seal Rock Inn was a four star hotel. It is not, but it is a superb place to stay at a reasonable price.

I'm traveling with my mother, who uses a walker and/or wheelchair. How's accessibility? I see there's an elevator but some say it's small.......clarification?
It's an unusual elevator. She will probably need someone with her to deal with the doors and to maneuver in and out. I wouldn't rule the place out, just know that it's a little different and not your usual elevator. Good Luck!

Despite what one of the reviews from August 2015 says, the pool IS open. (I was just there last week -- the week of August 12, 2015.) Heated? Don't know. Didn't use it...too chicken to go in the water outdoors in San Francisco. :)
Would like to make reservations in Oct. But, cannot find info online to do so. Please advise
you have to call them to make reservations they do not take them on line. when we were there in April the rate we paid was 365.00 for 2 nights on the 3rd floor room 301 hope you can get reservation made and confirmed because the fill up fast. I did have to prepay 1 nights rate and if you have to cancel make sure it is because their time limit
