The Phoenix is hip and in the TL so it's funky. The reason I will always stay here though is that the staff is just the nicest group of people. I feel so at home there. The food in the restaurant is good and if you are in the mood for something less fancy, the restaurant across the street, Mangosteen...

The location was great in which you can walk to just about everywhere. Don't let the neighborhood throw you off. People are just doing their thing are are easy going as well. Not sure when I'll be back in SF but it will be back here when I do.

Great location, very good value. Loved my stay. Stayed in more expensive (sterile) hotels around the world were I felt isolated. This hotel fits the San Francisco mood. Located next to Little Saigon, easy walk to Chinatown and SOMA.

Really enjoyed my stay here. A little bit loud one night in the pool area. Rooms are very clean. Restaurant has great fresh food. All very hip and trendy at an affordable price for SF. Good desk for working.

Met all my expectations, even with a club night and a wedding staying at the hotel my pregnant wife and I had no issues. Great having free parking, and close enough to main attractions of the city. Quirky rooms had a very funky cottage vibe, the pool was beautiful.

Located in the up and coming Tenderloin, the Phoenix is one of our preferred spots, especially if we have to have a car in the City. Getting there is easy, it is close to everything (streetcar to the Ferry Building? Check. Bus to Fisherman's Wharf? Check. Polk Gulch, Little Saigon, Music Hall, Opera House, Bill Graham Hall? Check check check)....

You can hear noise from both neighbors, and whoever is outside in the courtyard. Conversations, tv, people using the bathroom. There doesn't seem to be any insulation whatsoever. This hotel is located in the Tenderloin district which--prior to staying--we didn't know about. Not a good choice for a first visit to San Fransisco. It's a rather dirty and unfortunate neighborhood....

We were looking for a centrally based hotel where they didn't charge an exorbitant rate for parking a car. This was a super find. The staff was very friendly, the pool was fabulous to hang out at and 96 degrees, the rooms were large and comfortable. We were able to walk to bars and restaurants nearby. There is a large...

The staff at The Phoenix was absolutely amazing. Their customer service was exceptional. They were friendly, courteous and fun! They made our girls weekend one of the best ever! They were quick to catch those that did not belong there and we felt completely secure and like we had our own private oasis in the city. The rooms were clean,...

Everyone's lovely and helpful. Bit of noise but didn't notice it, nice spot. Food great but the service was brilliant- people remember your name. They go out of your way to help you and are always up for a chat
