Lovely modern hotel in the financial area and close to the ferry landing. We booked through travel zoo and got parking and internet included for just $200. Parking is $70 a day so beware. Our room was large with a fabulous view of the bay , Coit tower and the city. For the price this was one the best hotels...

We visited San Francisco for a long weekend to spend time walking the city, taking in the city and dining out. The Le Meridien was a perfect location and it was extremely comfortable. It was close to the action but not right in the middle, thus making for a nice get-a-way. The hotel was nicely appointed and the staff was...

Stayed at the Le Meridien in the City and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, which I expected, it had a fun bar, no question there but the biggest surprise was how safe this hotel is in the Financial District. It was a perfect place to stay as all the places we enjoy were within walking distance. The parking across...

I have stayed here for business a few times, and every time I'm here I have a great experience. The staff are lovely, the rooms are impeccable, and nothing is ever an issue. Tonight I realized they didn't have my down allergy on file when I checked in, and they gave me a complimentary voucher to have a couple of...

I booked Le Meridien last month for 1 night and I had a pleasant stay. My boyfriend and I did the Horn Blower Cruise located near Pier 3 and it was the perfect location. The room was extremely clean, with a modern vibe to it. From our room, you can see the bridge which was an amazing view! If you...

Alternating between the Kimpton boutique hotels and SPG brands, this one got a thumbs up. Stayed with two other families and we all approved. From check-in, to room accommodations, to drinks at Bar 333 and breakfast at Park Grill, they all passed muster. Valet parking or your choice of the self-park was outrageously expensive, $68/$39 nightly. For a week long...

Location is great, right in the financial district. SF is a pretty small city so you can get anywhere just by walking, taking the super convenient public transportation or calling for a cheap and short uber ride. The hotel is really nice, modern, clean with a very friendly staff. We had breakfast one day and it was pretty good, we...

Our stay began with a complimentary upgrade to a room that had a beautiful view. What a treat! The front desk staff was amazing! The hotel is well appointed downtown and it was easy to get around. The room was stylish, roomy, and smartly laidout. Bed and linens were very comfortable. The concierge was extremely helpful and assisted us with...

A quick weekend trip to SFO and opted to stay here in the financial area, walking distance to some nearby attractions. Since we spent hardly anytime in the room except to sleep, this hotel more than met our needs.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
