The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The rooms are small, but clean and beds are comfortable. I was skeptical when I saw ear plugs on the tray of goodies in the room, but it was quite peaceful and I never needed to use them. The complimentary coffee and muffins in the morning was a nice touch. I will go...

The location was perfect for walking anywhere in the downtown area and taxis are abundant right on the street as the Marriott is directly across the street. A Friday “Wine Down” event with nice tastings (and we are picky) were a special treat before going out for the evening. If you fly into San Francisco, just take the BART from...

I stayed here for a work conference for a 4 days. The room was small, but it was fine since it was just me. My sink was in the room, which I found interesting. This place is right in the middle of everything: shops, restaurants, Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone West Center, and just a few minutes away from Fisherman's Wharf....

Nice and very well located hotel. Hotel offers rooms with bathroom within the rooms and/ or with bathrooms located outside the rooms, which are available for all guests. The rooms are clean and quite well equipped. If you come by the car, remember the parking place costs a lot. But this is common in many other cities.

The Mosser location can not be beat. Much of San Francisco is within walking distance of this old hotel and if you don't feel like walking, you can catch a trolley car at the corner. The building is old, therefore solidly built. Our room was rather small and very simple BUT had everything we needed. We rented a mini-fridge and...

The rooms are a little small but it was really just fine for me by myself attending a conference at the nearby Moscone Convention Center. The service was great and the room was clean. It had great access to public transportation.

We stayed in The Mosser hotel for 3 nights and had a good time over there. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Check in took only few minutes. We did ask for a quiet room on the upper floor, but didn't like it. It was too small. They offered us a bigger room on the second floor in the same category...

What a great location! This hotel is perfectly planted in the city, walking distance to Westfield shopping mall and a monsoon of walkable independent stores and eateries. The staff were all friendly while welcoming my mate and I. Parking is tough so you will need to valet your vehicle. $49/ night with unlimited access to the car ( average cost...

I enjoyed my time at the Mosser Hotel. The location was perfect. I was able to take most methods of transportation within a block, and it made the city so accessible. There are quite a few restaurants and breakfast places within walking distance. The room was very clean. I had the deluxe room which had a bathroom. The coffee and...

I totally loved this place. It had all the charm of a historic hotel, but with the new amenities I desire on a business trip. The room was totally tiny, but it was perfect for me. It had a sink in the room, and a shared bathroom and shower in the hallway. I never had to wait to use the...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
