Although this is a four star hotel, it compares very well against most four stars, and I would say would rate five stars in some aspects. After a four hour delayed flight from NYC, we checked in very late (about 2am), and the room only had one king size with no beds for our kids, but we found the service...

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay. My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we were very pleased with our accommodations. Upon check-in, the staff member welcomed us with a $50 credit at the hotel and gave us all the information we needed by answering all of our questions. Our room was more than adequate...

In the center of everything, walk to Ferry terminal or MUNI to everywhere. Opt for the park/stay package if you have a car. Great view from higher floors. Quiet/concrete walls. Attentive staff, restaurants outside every door. Would give it more stars if it were completely utilized.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous: the location, the views, the service, the bar, the rooms themselves. It could hardly be more centrally located, as it's right next to a BART stop, and backs up the Ferry Building where you can take a street car to other transit options. View from our room was gorgeous, with a full panorama of...

You can't get anymore downtown than the Hyatt. Right on the water across from the SF Terminal Market. Lots of public trans options If you fly into SFO take the BART from the airport to the Embarcadero stop and when you come up to street level the hotel is right across the street you cannot miss it Central to all...

Booked online~was blown away when we walked into the lobby! The architecture was so different and the furnishings were very inviting. The room was spotless and so bright and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to insure all our needs were met. When I go back I will definitely stay at this Hyatt Regency! Also very convenient when...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was Great! They upgraded us to a GORGEOUS Balcony Suite. I am a Hyatt Globalist and stay with Hyatts over 60 nights a year, but this Hyatt is exceptional. Tashi at check-in was world class! I arrived around 9am from Sydney. I was exhausted after a 15 hour flight....

We were in San Francisco for a weekend wedding and this Hyatt is in a great location. We took BART from SFO airport right to the Embarcadero Station next to the hotel. Their rooms are nice with a good view of the city and the bay. The price is very reasonable for San Francisco. I liked having a balcony. This...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
