Old hotel, small rooms, clean, close to restaurants and shopping, close to transit. Over priced I think for what you get, but it is in the heart of San Fran. Very good diners close by and hotel staff were very good.

The Handlery has generously sized, well equipped and very comfortable rooms.
However it is starting to look a little tired in places — it's obviously a very old hotel — but it's still perfectly clean..
Would gladly stay here again.
Everything perfect from check in to check out. I would highly recommend this hotel which is priced right for this location. The attached restaurant is also worth trying. Full bar with an extensive menu.
