My wife, mother-in-law and I stayed at this establishment at the beginning of September 2011. We chose this hotel based on it's price. The saying, "You get what you pay for" fits very well with this hotel. The carpet in the room was very dirty. The beds had low places in them. The beds also had bed bugs. When I...

I am a travel agent. I had 4 clients stay at this hotel - despite the awful reviews - because of the price. They recognize now that this was a huge mistake. Upon checking in at the Presidio they were told they could not stay there because there were flooding problems. They were moved to the Motel Capri (run by...

What ever you do DO NOT stay in any room on the street side of the building. Hotel owner stuffed us into a room that didn't even have a key card lock. He had to dig thru a bucket to find our key (should have seen the red flag there). Our door didn't even have a door knob! Just a...

This hotel is located near everything. I was quite surprised on how inexpensive it was considering we were so close to everything. Rooms were clean and staff was extremely friendly. Thanks Diya & Ricky for the great customer service.

Last minute trip. I don't know SF at all but it's near the interesting spots so I figured I'd give it a try. Not clean at all. Poor maintenance. Clerk put me next to a room with 4 children under the age of 5. The carpet was stained and had a thick layer of dirt in the corners. Baseboards were...

My family of 5 and I stayed at this hotel only because it was close to my mom's house. I knew we we're in trouble when I pulled into the hotel parking lot and found staff members playing Jai Alai in the parking lot. Sure enough, the old elevator smelled like "the Mine" ride at Knotts Berry farm and our...

I spent 2 days alone in sanfran and i booked this hotel via booking.com to stay there for those days. Right before arriving my phone was stolen so i spent the whole afternoon looking for a new one, after checking in. When i came back i was so tired and jet lagged i went straight to bed. Even so, it...

We did see a previous review stating that they had Bed Bugs but thought they would have been rid of them before we stayed. I woke at 10.45pm after flicking something off me and then saw the bed bugs. There were light bulbs that did not work and we asked for a bath plug and they told us there werent...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
