It's loud. Very, very loud. Not only is it near the intersection of two major streets, there's a small street (almost an alley) separating one side of the hotel from a warehouse loft building and when the trash trucks empty their dumpsters at 5:30 am, you'll definitely hear it. You'll also hear the homeless people pushing their shopping carts at...

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and I have only three minor complaints. First, the breakfast area played only Spanish tv in the morning, so I had no idea what was going on while I was eating my breakfast. Second, the first room we were put in smelled like paint SOOO bad, we could barely breathe. I went...

Located close to the 101 and I80 freeways. Is in the "middle" of renovations which look like they have been on-going for a looooong time. This is an 'old school" type motel that the door from you motel opens directly to the parking lot (and therefore the street). The surronding area is run down and has lots of street people, empty buildings and...

The attendants were very good at check in and check out. The room was adequate for the price The parking area was tight. There were undesireable people wandering in the neighborhood and one man came into the parking area early in the morning and was talking loud enough to wake me up. Then later, when we went to the breakfast...

Hello. My daughter and I decided to attend Wondercon in San Francisco again as we enjoyed it tremendously last year. My daughter thought it would be fun to drive up from San Diego so that we would have a car for sightseeing. We checked for proximity to the Moscone Center and this Best Western seemed a good fit. We have...

In addition, the location was excellent for fast entrance and exit to San Francisco, but not within walking distance of much of interest. I was very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
