We have stayed here before. The last time we noticed changes. The room was a bit "tired". The sheets had holes in them. Bed not as comfortable. The breakfast was minimal at best. They now charge for parking ...not much $10-$15. Staff are still friendly.
Good for the price. The downtown takes 20 minutes on foot.
The room, the bed and the bath were clean. But not safe due to location and even there is not any security. Breakfast was simple.

Civic Center Motor Inn was adequate for what I needed, an affordable night in San Francisco before flying out of SFO the next day. I was supposed to be in a nice cottage in Sonoma County the last two days of my CA trip. However,...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
