Not the best start when we arrived late at night to homeless people outside the hotel. The Hotel was fine, staff pleasant, rooms clean and plenty of room but breakfast was disappointing going across to other hotel who were very disorganised. Did not like the area at all to many homeless people and smell of urine and open drug taking...

Prior to my stay I read mixed reviews about the location. I was relieved that it wasn't nearly as bad as some reviews made it sound. Let me start by mentioning first that the place is clean and relatively quiet. I stayed in room 210 and had no street noise or AC noise whatsoever. The staff is very friendly and...

Hotel was better than expected and a boutique stye which was very stylish and roomy in size. A bit noisy occasionally on the floor above and traffic outside. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite Breakfast served across in the other hotel was less than fabulous but adequate, staff seemed very disorganised and on the first morning left out the...

the hotel had a 1920's ghosty feel to it and the rooms are individually charming. They put a $70 hold on my cc, which doesn't get released for 5 days. They charged $35 for parking but then added a "parking tax" on top of that. That doesn't feel par for the course in my past experiences, so I feel they...

We were on the rush to find a decent hotel in SF and we booked this one as an emergency. What a very nice surprise. First of all, there is a car park for guests. Affordable and compulsory according to the area. Perfectly located in between Union Square and SOMA. The lobby is unusual as we have the feeling visiting...

We spent 3 nights here at the beginning of April, the staff were very helpful, the room was clean, we had a room at the front of the hotel and found it noisy due to the main road and single glazing, no dining facilities at the hotel, breakfast was offered across the road at the Custom Burger basic and not...

Nice, clean, room with style, accessible and all the nice places in San Francisco are very accessible from the hotel that will save a lot especially for visitors. It's really worth every penny. Most of the must seen placees are 10 minutes away from the hotel especially using the MUNI transportation system

This hotel put my credit identity at risk and provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My husband was traveling internationally with a stop in SF, and booked a prepaid room at the Carriage Inn. Upon check-in he provided the same credit card used to book the room to hold on file for incidentals. The clerk could not...

I stayed only for a night. Seemed like a decent deal. The hotel is definitely older but has been maintained and perhaps renovated many times. I had no issues of any kind and liked the different styling than most chain hotels. The TV quality was just so-so. Very slow remote and not all that great reception. WiFi worked fine. I...

Hotel was a very reasonable price, probably one of the cheapest we found in SF. Rooms were a good size and we were 2 blocks from market street. Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
