The novelty of this hotel is that it is historic, but updated enough that it has comfortable beds and quality television sets. It wouldn't be a place that I chose to stay if I was spending much time in the hotel. But, if you're going to San Francisco why would you stay in the hotel? I've stayed at the Serrano...

Dear Marissa, It is only through feedback such as yours that we are able to maintain and improve upon the service we provide to our valued guests. I will pass along your kind words about our comfortable mattresses and quality TV. I am pleased to announce that we will be embarking on a lobby renovation end of this year that...

I stayed here for a week long conference. Perfect place for a single business traveler. I asked for a high floor away from the front of the hotel and got one. I had no problems with street noise or noise from other rooms. Did not care about the view or small room size. Great location with a lot of places...

Never got into so arrogant and inpolite staff. The room was very small and not well equipped. Bad was convenient but tv screen was too small and too far from bed. Location is good. Close to union square and Mason st. is very easy to reach by car. Didn't try the food so can't tell anything about it.

Dear Avi, It is very heartbreaking to read that you experienced "arrogant" and "impolite" staff. Rest assured, we train our staff to provide a warm, friendly environment and in your case, we failed. Please do reach out to me directly at the hotel as I would love to get more details regarding your stay. Sincerely, Candice Cancino General Manager

Whenever I return to San Francisco I will stay at King George Hotel! Walking distance to wherever I wanted to go to. I did not rent a car at all. A restaurant next door. A grocery store on the corner. I jumped on the Hop on Hop off bus and enjoyed a large shrimp cocktail at Nicks at Fisherman's wharf!...

Stayed here one night. The room was clean, the bed tall and comfortable. The heater is some type of an old radiator and I could not find the thermostat. So I left it off and used my thick pj's. Bathroom was nice and clean. Thank you!

We stayed a full week here. Perfect location to great restaurants, union square and public transportation. They only thing we missed was a fridge in the room. It's an older hotel so things are smaller than newer more modern places. It makes it unique and charming.

The hotel was a great choice for our 3-day city trip. The location was excellent, within the walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars and public transportation. Staff was very friendly and wi-fi was great.

Everything about this hotel was basically exactly what you would expect from previous reviews. The price was great for the area it was in and the room was relatively comfortable. I left the window open to keep the room cool which let in street noise. Fine with me but not as fine for others, and maybe rough during the summer.

I would love to rate the King George higher. It's a decent price, great location, the room is clean (yet tiny), the bed is comfortable and the people are great. So what's the problem? The Windows! They are old and some are broken. The noise from the street (which is ridiculously loud) sounds like it is in the room with...

I had a last minute trip to SF and needed to find somewhere fast. This place was decent and the room was tiny but clean. I wouldn't pay a lot for this room, but if it was a value I would stay there again. Clean room and good location near Union Square and lots of restaurants and shopping. I was...
