If you are considering staying at this hotel, I'm glad that you're readjng this. I was planning my trip to San Fransisco and needed to quickly book a hotel, I saw pictures of The Embassy and the pictures looked decent--even nice! Arriving to the hotel at nighttime, one realizes that the hotel is located smack dab in the middle of...

We had three days to explore a huge city. We needed to be positioned well. This hotel was great for that. Less than 10mins walk to union square and on plenty of bus routes ( had a City pass so used this to get around as much as possible.) The hotel was a bit tired and wifi could only be...

First impression was its right off the bay bridge and easy to get too if you miss traffic! Slummy and big city next to Federal Courthouse and lots of homeless folks. End impression was pretty historic and cool! The hotel doesnt have many amneities except a cool coffee breakfast cafe attached and a tiny piano and library in basement exit...

I lived in SF years ago and knew what I getting into with the location. I don't think it's that bad and there area is changing now, but there is still drug and sex crime near by. How much of that you are willing to tolerate for convenience and price is up to you. If want you an equally good...

This is not the best hotel in the world however it was fair for the price, the room was large and cleaned each morning. It was reasonably well situated near city hall and wasn't to far from union square (10 mins walk). But it was very dated and beware the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours...

After I booked the hotel, I was very scared to actually stay there due to all of the negative reviews, because I was traveling with my four kids. However, I had a good experience. The first day I was lost and did go through a very scary neighborhood with homeless people everywhere. I was ready to pack my bags and...

Had a satisfactory stay at the Embassy. People are very kind. Clean facilities. A bit small and not so modern. But overall it was an average experience. No breakfast but Wi-Fi is free. Nice small parking lot near the hotel.

This hotel was my first impression of California. I visited here in June 2015 with my 11year old son. It was so bad we both cried as soon as we got to our room. The lift was like something from the 1940's and didn't take us all the way up. Our floor smelled of cannabis and had people that looked...

Stayed at embassy early August 2016 for four nights. First two nights were virtually sleepless with constant street noise of sirens, paperthin walls with noisy neighbours and roof noises every time the floor above was walked on. The room itself was clean and tidy, however the shower was lukewarm at best with no pressure. After two nights of disruption we...

Very bad experience. I had paid top dollar for my stay here through a travel agent but looks like I have been conned heavily. It is just a boutique hotel and not a 4-star one, which I had paid for. The hotel is located in a busy city area surrounded by so many homeless and drug addicted people, and the...
