This hotel was our first impression of California after a long flight. It was not good at all! The hotel is outdated and not maintained properly. The room we got was ok of size and was clean enough. Unfortunately, after a nap, we discovered what looked like a used crack pipe in bed under the cover! We notified the reception...

The location is not bad, but in the night time Polk street is not a very good street. The room and the restrooms weren't clean enough for the price! Also I forgot in the room my photo camera charger with the battery inside (about 100$) and I asked them many times to send it to me and charge the shipping...

This is a great location. Just a couple of blocks from City Hall, The Asian Art Museum and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium where my conference was. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and dark when it was supposed to be and the bed was comfortable. Close to a wide choice of restaurants and the famous...

This hotel was booked by an agent as part of a package so it was not our choice and I would probably not go back again. The hotel itself has basic facilities but its location is not ideal because it is in the more rougher part of the city and there are lots of homeless people within the surrounding area,...

Was booked by our agent so we were none the wiser. Write up was wrong, not a short walk to anything and the walk the reception guy sent us to for information sent us down Turk street. This street went on for ages, past several large groups of homeless, urine smell everywhere and quite threatening (& I've done alot of...

I have never been to a hotel in a major city that did not have the basics; a thermostat, wall outlets, and coffee/tea maker. The Embassy is the exception! The hotel has an antiquated "accordian" heater that is regulated by hotel staff; but the staff says "they have no control" over it. According to the front desk, the heater is...

Ill try to make this quick.... this hotel takes "no frills" to a whole different level - Wrong room when we arrived, haven't seen my partner in 3 weeks and was given 2 double beds rather than the King we paid for. - Luckily we booked with Hotels.com because Embassy wasn't willing to compensate claiming that the double beds were...

We arrived after a long flight then drive from the airport. Going inside you could see the place needed attention with regards to the facilities. Even though it was not yet check in time the front desk person made a call to get us into a room earlier. The room was ordinary but clean the bath had no place to...

Good location in walking distance to the station for airport connections, close to lot of bus routes. There are a lot of homeless people, addicts and people with mental health issues around on the streets - but I saw that everywhere in SF. Being on my own it made it feel uncomfortable to go out in the dark. Hotel is...
