At the top of Nob Hill and close to China Town, Union Square. Cable car stop outside the door! Clean, quiet rooms with nice beds. Not rated perfect because no ice machine on our floor and flimsy coffee pot. This level of hotel should have Keurig. I was able to get on wifi but still couldn't use Internet.

This place is located right on the corner where the Powell St. & California St. cable cars cross paths with each other. It is so easy to get around from here! And the room prices are the best you will find! Beds are comfortable! I can't figure out for the life of me why it is so cheap to stay...

Everything was perfect. The parking was quite expensive, everything else was good value for money. I really liked my stay. It was sometimes a bit loud from outside (Tramway), which you do not expect if you are used to European window quality

Stayed at The Stanford Court for 5 nights in September 2016. The hotel was very nice and had a great location just a 10 min walk to Union Square and a 30 min walk to Fishermans Wharf. We love to walk but there are loads of transport options close by too. We were very disappointed with our room on the...

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. Sounds like you had a great time and I'm thrilled we were able to play a part. Sorry about the location of your room. Everybody in SF wants a view and unfortunately this just isn't possible. We were completely sold out the week you were here and that compounds the difficulty. Our...

This was our second visit to Stanford court, as we loved it 2 years ago. There are hills in San Fran and the hotel is located up a pretty big one, but it only takes 10 minutes to get to union square, and a short cable car ride the other way gets you to fishermans wharf. Staff here are brilliant...

While on a recent stay at the Stanford Court, which until now has been one of my favorite hotels, I left my jacket with my Canon camera in the pocket on the back of a chair of the lounge at closing time. The next mourning I reported it and the person that I spoke to called security. She said that...

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I will look into this immediately and ensure you receive a response. In the meantime I suggest you check your SPAM folder as sometimes emails from the hotel end-up there. We have a very good process of handling lost and found. We liked this hotel because we eventually realised it was close to most things namely China town and union square. The tram from the port to top of Nob Hill where the hotel is located is a bit of fun too.

Last stop on our holiday, great looking hotel in a great central location, rooms are very comfortable but the bathroom needed updating a bit, as a over 6ft person it's quite hard to shower when the shower head is only chest height.

This a beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is expensive. It is clean, comfortable and easily accessible from the train station, however we had a real issue with food. Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
