Prefer this over the neighboring Fairmount as it feels and smells newer and with B+/A- grade services. Parking is a bit challenging but that's the case just about all over S.F. Suites are larger sq.ft. vise. Price is a little more than what its worth but nothing to mark as "con". Would stay here if Loew's Regency wasn't an option.

I normally love staying at the Intercontinental and have stayed here a decent amount. However I don't know if their policies have changed or if we have just had a run of bad luck. We booked through Priceline since it was a last minute night that we needed. I called ahead and asked for adjoining rooms or rooms right next...

I could not rave any more about this hotel! We went up to San Fran for my boyfriend's birthday and checked in easily. After being charged a bit extra than expected, I realised I had misunderstood how the standby upgrades worked. Basically I put in for two, seeing as it said you only get one. Turns out I accidentally put...

My family was excited to stay here. However as a result of our "upgrade" from my Gold Ambassador membership, we were told we would have to wait while our room cleaning was "expedited" and hour later we were told our room would not be ready for a long time. I decided, I do not know what expedited means. We asked...

The InterContinental is a great hotel in a great location in San Francisco. You will love it. What you will not like is the price. It is expensive and I get that, and have no problem paying top dollar for the best, but this is not the best, they just charge like it. You can get a room with a...

This hotel is very nice, clean and modern. We had a high floor, corner room with floor to ceiling windows that offered amazing, unobstructed views of the city. Large room and bathroom, very clean and modern. Quiet room, even though it is in the middle of the city and offers amazing city views, it is not loud. The breakfast was...

Room and staff are up to standards I am accustomed to in this convenient hotel, that I stay in every January when I attend a convention at Moscone. This time,I tried to book 6 months in advance as a Spire Elite ambassador member but was told on the website that "one or more nights unavailable." This was because ,I assume, the hotel...

The room was glass windows on two sides with a great view. It was a spacious corner room and the king bed was a delight with top of the line comforter and soft sheets. The hotel was a great location for shopping and seeing the sights.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
