Fantastic hotel. Amazing rooms. Great service. Definitely our home from home in San Francisco. Perfect location for accessing all of downtown San Fran. In the same league as the Mandarin Oriental. Best starwood property in the city.

We stayed in room 1903. Even on this 19th floor, the noise was very noticeable. Sirens, motorcycles and the construction next door were clearly heard through the windows. We spent 3 restless nights there. I resorted to using ear plugs to help. I was disappointed with the automated butler service that asked me what temperature I preferred for the room...

Stayed for 4 nights and had pleasant experience. Everything was spot on, except for the outrageous construction sounds coming from right across the street. The concierge was very helpful and the gym was clean and well equipped. Room service was just a bit under st. Regis standard, although the service was good overall. Probably the best hotel in that part...

Few blocks from Union Square but clean and wonderful from the moment you arrive. Expensive but in a class with all of the top hotels. We were in room 903 and would stay there again. Suggest using your SPG gold or AMEX Platinum card for terrific perks as it will save you quite a bit.

I would highly recommend the St Regis in San Francisco! The location is great...close to many good restaurants and bars, although the bar at the hotel can't be beat! The service is wonderful as are the rooms. Good views!

This was our second visit to the St. Regis. Its a very nice property. Elegant Lobby and the Rooms are very nice. Great Bathrooms with a separate shower and tub. We were upgraded to a Metropolitan Suite which are about 1000 sq feet. Bigger than our first apartment :). The property is very convenient if you are attending an event...

Stayed here recently in a Grand Deluxe room and was very impressed - comfortable bed, pleasant staff and a nice ambience everywhere. The touch screen controls for the lighting and curtains was a bit gimmicky but it did work. Parking was valet only and expensive but this is pretty normal for San Francisco!

Generally, I like the St. Regis hotels although they are pretty pricy. This one is no exception. The ambience is lovely. The rooms spacious and the service excellent. We booked just one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were upgrade to an amazing suite with a full living room and even a dinning table. The suite would have had...

We have stayed here many times. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms have a separate bathtub and shower. I have also stayed in some of the suites which are lovely. I like the 10 series deluxe rooms because I don't like the bathtub that opens to the bedroom with the shuttered enclosure. The 10 series also has a separate...

I booked a Premier Corner Room at the St Regis San Francisco, having stayed here before a few times before. I managed to negotiate a special pre-paid rate with the reservations manager. Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
