When we first walked into the room I was disappointed not to be welcomed with that crisp, modern, hotel feel. Instead the room felt old-fashioned with thick wall to wall carpeting and dated flowered comforters. But soon the charm of the room, with new windows (quiet) and wood shutters that added a nice touch, started to grow on me. The...

We thought this hotel was so retro and cool. It's old and has lots of history. The staff was so friendly and always greeted you with a smile. We took a girls weekend to San Fran and it was centrally located to everything we wanted to be around at a reasonable price! The rooms are quaint, quiet and clean. We...

This hotel is a wonderful discovery. Only two blocks from Grace Cathedral on Knob Hill, the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. I had a nice room, with microwave and small refrigerator, and a nice bath. They also serve a really nice free breakfast each morning. The staff are delightful, friendly, and helpful. My single room was quite modest...

The Hotel Mayflower is very inexpensive for San Francisco. The room was comfortable with vintage furniture and a walk-in closet that actually had room for 2 suitcases with room to spare. The staff was very helpful about the best ways to get to the various sites and how to get from one to another. I definitely would recommend it.

The Hotel Mayflower is a lovely old hotel in a central location, near Union Square, with clean spacious rooms and lots of character at a great price. The room we stayed in had a large walk in closet with plenty of space for clothing and suitcases. The room also had a small fridge and microwave. An adequate Continental breakfast was...

This hotel is a great deal. I'll admit, I was skeptical given how cheap it was compared to other options, but it turned out to be great (we got a deluxe two double bed room that was about $175/night including tax in August). It's an old building but the rooms are well maintained. It's nothing fancy, but clean, in a...

I've stayed at the Hotel Mayflower many times, for both business and pleasure. The rooms are clean and spacious. Each room has coffee pot, a little fridge and a few glasses and dishes. It is in a perfect location you walk almost the entire city. Any place that is too far to walk, public transportation abounds. Right next door is...

It was a good experience but nothing spectacular. We were there with a few families and I thought it was a bit more rundown than last time. I did like the front desk employees who tried hard to give us recommendations in the city

If what you want in a hotel is stylish chic decor, then this is not the place for you. If you want a safe, comfortable, great night's sleep in the centre of a city that costs a fraction of what other hotels in the area are charging - then this is the place for you. Unpretentious, simple and straightforward, the...
