We came here after visiting Vegas & Yosemite and were expecting good things considering the room rate was more than double that of the hotels in either of those. Boy, were we in for a surprise. The place is so dreadfully dated and the upkeep is seemingly non-existent. After braving the death trap that passes itself off as an elevator,...

This is a hotel in need of renovation. My stay was pleasant, but the management could do better. The Wi-Fi is the only added feature. I will say that my room was very clean and the cable and TV were up to par, but after 3 days, I still hadn't found the switch for the bathroom light. The location is...

I can't call this place a hotel. Definitely unreasonable price even considering the location and San Francisco hotels' high costs. I wonder where the other person took those nice pictures. We felt some bad smell from the hallway. Small room with falling-off wallpapers (could see Styrofoam behind), smelly bed, and old and dirty furnitures greeted us. In the bathroom, there...

Was in San Francisco during Bay to Breakers weekend. This was the cheapest we could find last minute. After reading some of the old reviews about this place I wasn't too excited to go here. But I think that they really renewed this place and our stay was just perfect. A small but clean room with a large television. We...

Great value and perfect location! The room has its own bathroom (not shared) and has a fridge and microwave. It's about 3 blocks from the Train Station (BART) which is also where the start of the Trolley Ride is on Market Street and Powell. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. One thing though is that the room is small...

My kids and I arrived at San Francisco airport at midnight. The hotel's website states that shuttle bus runs until 1am daily. We waited 45 min & I called hotel front desk 4 times for the shuttle bus, but it didn't arrive. We ended up taking a taxi. In addition, we experienced rude customer service & smelly beds. Free breakfast...

Very basic. Very expensive for what you get and the staff borders between incompetent and just rude. When we asked about directions they seemed put out. When we asked for a shuttle to the airport we got different answers each time we enquired. Front desk employees...all of them....we rude and stand off ish

I had a very good experience in Gateway INN, compared to it's price, it was really valuable, clean place with very good room service, private rooms with quality restroom, TV, WIFI, Microwave, Refrigerator, comfortable bed. Overall it's really affordable and recommended for all solo travelers and/or quick tripper friends. Again, it was the best of it's price range, and almost...
