We recently stayed at this small but ideally located motel and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to be close to all the sites. A 15 minute walk to Fishermens Wharf and views are spectaular along the way. The rooms were very clean and very well stocked and Yogi, the manager, was so accomadating and the best PR person...

Recently stayed 2 nights at the Seaside Inn and rooms were very clean and comfortable! Yogi the receptionist was one of the friendliest people we have encountered during our travels. I would highly recommend this small hotel, for anyone looking for reasonable, clean and friendly places to stay in San Francisco.

We recently stayed at The Seaside during a 5 night stay in San Fran. This hotel is close to everything, you have plenty of choices with Lombard Street but we chose Seaside for it modern look and its reviews. We were not disappointed. Yogi at the front desk was extremely helpful and cheerful. I have since read some mixed reviews...

We arrived in San Francisco from Singapore at 9 am after 14 hours flight, very tired, we waited till 12 and we asked for an early check in. This hotel is run by and Indian couple, the Indian husband, once we arrived, didn't even say hello to us and send us away telling us to come back at 3 pm,...

We were in San Francisco for just the day and exploring the Presidio, so this turned out to be a great place to stay and location. We actually walked to Presidio, which took about 30 min. The rooms are the best part--they have been totally refurbished. You can tell they made the effort to make sure everything was updated. We...

The hotel is a family run hotel, rooms are clean and hve amenities. But please use the 2 bed room for two and not 4 as it is recommended,it is not possible to accomodate 4 people unless 2 are kids. The position is not so quiet and parking not always available. Breakfast is not recommended as only coffee, juice and muffins that you...

First time in SF. We stayed two nights and spent maybe a grand total of 10 hrs in our room. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Definitely a place to stay when you only need a bed in an expensive city. Close to the centre and 2 blocks away from the greatest Safeway in North America.

Just returned from a four night stay in San Francisco. After each exhausting (but fantastic) day, it was a relief to know we had a very nice room to return to....the bed was SO comfortable. The bathroom and bedroom were kept very clean, with fresh towels, coffee replacement etc every day. Would highly recommend this Inn to anyone

This accommodation was in a reasonable location and about 20-30 minutes walk from the harbour and tourist attractions. The reception on our arrival was not welcoming and the lady who checked us in was rather abrupt. Her interpersonal skills did however improve over the time that we stayed and she became quite helpful. It was more of a motel than...

We booked on the fly and found a terrific San Francisco local hotel. Yogi was a great hostess and very gracious. Only a few blocks from the water front on Lombard St. Room was clean and met our needs perfectly at a reasonable price. We were fortunate to have off street parking in their lot.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
