I had a super duper awesome time! The staff are nice, fun and friendly bunch of people! They always had fun activities to do which helped us find some awesome spots in San Francisco. We made some good friends in our stay. We will be back soon! Thanks for a good time!

I stayed 4 nights here and had a great time. Check in was a breeze and Sarah was very friendly and a great help. Beds were comfortable, loved the extra pillow! Bathrooms were a little on the small side however it was always available to use without waiting and there is a second one on the other floor. Common area...

Stayed here for a night. They were very friendly and helped us find places to visit in the city. The rooms were just the perfect size and even had a full kitchen. Oh and the best part is its in the xebtwr of the city. Would definitely come back.

I have never stayed in a hostel but it was much better than I expected. It was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I met some great people and ended up hanging out with them and walking all over the city! It was in a safe location right by Chinatown and I would definitely stay here again.

I am not accustomed to staying in hostels but overall it was a good experience. Friendly staff, clean and centrally located. A great place to stay if you are on a budget and just need a bed and some instant friends who know the area.

I had to book a bed here last-minute because of a change of plans, and in retrospect I consider myself very lucky to have been able to do that because this place delivered in a huge way for me. A safe, clean, easy-to-find place right in central SF that is walkable to tons of points of interest and close to...

Welcoming hosts, comfortable beds, and overall very accommodating! The location is fantastic as well. It is a small space, so you should only book here if you are comfortable sharing a room and bathroom with multiple people. I felt very safe in this hostel and met many great people during my short stay!

The most amazing thing about Pacific Tradewinds was the kindness and enthusiasm of the staff and the other guests. It was so nice to be treated like a friend in a community instead of a $ in a pocket. The location in the city is so close to Chinatown and the BART system, it made navigating really simple. There are...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
