Staying at the Inn makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. While very close to the major contemporary areas of the city the Presidio (and the Inn) is like an oasis that time has passed by. Relaxed, calm, undisturbed, are a few words that come to mind when reflecting on the area, a real treasure.

We came for a weekend stay. The renovation was well done, the room was clean and reasonably comfortable, the staff was friendly, and two good restaurants were within walking distance. But it was noisy day and night, we got bad information about the hiking trails, there's no elevator, and we felt the room rate was exorbitant. Glad we tried it,...

I had the pleasure of getting to stay here on last Sunday night. The property is in the heart of the Presidio and provides a stay that you cannot replicate anywhere else in SF. I have been in hotel management for over 10 years so I am a very discerning hotel guests. Well they certainly know what they are doing...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the inn, and have already booked our next stay. So many things to highlight: amazing staff, large room with one of the best beds we have experienced in a hotel, excellent breakfast and a lovely wine reception each day - we took advantage of great weather to enjoy both outside by a...

We stayed at the Presidio because of the recommendation of singer Chris Isaak. Great location surrounded by history and a great view. The staff was excellent. Staying at the Presidio again will be a big part of why we would visit San Francisco again.

Great on every count - service, location, comfort (fabulous beds), cleanliness, wine hour, outdoor patio, hiking trails right out the back door, view of the Bay ... really wonderful stay. We'll definitely go back and stay longer.

Scenic views, fire pits. Great hiking areas. Immaculate rooms, sparkling clean bathroom. Comfy beds. We had a suite, my mom used the couch, which pulled out for a bed. She said it was very comfy as well. Great staff. Very helpful.

The building is beautiful, if a bit run down - to be expected from a historical building. The problem wasn't the building though, it was the rude staff. Every time I asked for anything I felt like I was putting them out, especially the woman who worked the front desk at night. They had a snobby boutique attitude and made...

Pricey, but worth it. A one of a kind place to stay with a fantastic staff! Quiet and well decorated. Wine and cheese (and cookies) at night, standard, but yummy, breakfast. In the city, but in the forest! So much fun!
