First impression was okay. friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of baked goods and coffe are complimentary in the morning. The room was clean, and a decent size, but there are some very simple improvements that would really make a big difference in comfort. First; get some decent pillows. We don't mind a fairly firm bed, but thin...

Stayed in The Grant Hotel for 3 nights in San Francisco. Very good location right at the start of China Town , close to shops, restaurants, BART and the Powell cable car line. Receptionists were pleasant, helpful and good. The rooms were a decent size and clean enough. Free tea/coffee only at reception/lobby area

We stayed here for 4 nights. Everything was perfect. Location is fantastic. The hotel itself needs some refurbishments done but nothing major. Rooms aren't big but very clean. Bathrooms are very modern and nice. Croissants and muffins etc served from 7am which were also nice.

We smelt cat urine in the foyer and hallways, old men wandering around in nightwear at 4pm, back door to fire escape open and no Airconditioning in the heat of the summer. Bed linen had not been changed from previous guests . We did leave immediately .... And would not recommend it. It was a mistake choice ...but if you...

The TA reviews for this hotel fluctuate so wildly that it appears the timing of the booking, the room assigned, and possibly the neighbours are a factor. Here is my experience. I am a budget traveller. Hotels in San Francisco are disgracefully expensive. I stayed her for 4 nights in early October. When I travel my priorities for a hotel...

I booked this hotel based solely on the price, hotels in SF are so expensive. My stay was for 3 nights with a friend and we had a room with 2 double beds, there was no A/C just a ceiling fan. I'm not sure whether A/C is needed the majority of the time in SF as it is pretty cool,...

Where do I begin....let's start with the urine smell, which began at the front door, and continued into the lobby and up to the room we were sent to. On the way to the room several old men were walking around in dressing gowns.....this suggested something to us, but you can read between the lines. So we got to the...

This hotel fit the bill for our 4 night stay in San Francisco. We wanted to be near the “sights”, but we didn’t want to pay through the nose for our accommodation. This hotel has a very good location – close to shops, restaurants, not far from Chinatown and close to the bus stop for the weekend bus service across...

This place is really convenient. You do have to walk up a crazy steep slope in order to get to it, but it's in such a central location! The rooms are also much bigger than the other hotels I've stayed in SF. It has that old , 1940s boarding school kind of feel. The breakfast and wifi isn't much to...

We stayed for 3 nights and for the price (on the less expensive side for San Fran) it was overall a good experience and would stay again purely for location and price. The rooms had old looking carpet and the beds look oldish/soft BUT the beds were actually more comfortable than they look! The bathroom in the room had been...
